An Austin Original

First, not everyone goes for this kind of pizza - two varieties, both heavy on tomato sauce and cheese. The deep dish is the best route by far, though again, it has a lot of dough. At the same time the ingredients are very good - the sausage especially. They have a pizza called the savage - loaded... read more

I have loved Conan's Pizza many times over the years, and whenever I return I am reminded why -- it is the best freaking pizza on the face of the earth! This particular location is tucked away in a tiny retail strip next to some very "Austiny" stores, and still has tire tracks in the lineoleum from a run-in with... More

We ordered online and received a confirmation. No one called or arrived for almost 2 hours after the order was placed. The order was rejected when they did arrive and we asked them to cancel our account.

I love the Robert E Howard theme because I am a fan. This is the only place I know here that does Chicago style Pizza which is what I prefer... maybe because of going to this place as a kid. (Chicago natives are less impressed) The Frazetta paintings were fabulous. Their pizza was great. First place I had a salad... More

Super cool place. Was smaller than expected. Loved the tables with Conan The Barbarian comic books as table. When pizza came it was awesome! Ordered BBQ chicken pizza with onions and half jalapeños since everyone didn't like spicy stuff. Got a large which had 8 slices. Would totally love to visit again and try some of the other speciality pizzas.

Delicious whole wheat crust. Husband & I had deep dish, kids had thin crust. Both were very good. Salad is basic, but comes with lots of cheese & good ranch dressing. Good service.

Deep dish, all the toppings, gooey cheese...need I say more? The savage is our favorite! The house salad is delicious. Better than the caesar salad! Dressings are what makes 'em good! Interior hasn't been remodeled since the 70's and has interesting comic characters all around. So my suggestion is to get it to go. You can thank me later. Staff... More
