Unused to Austin's uber casual dinner dress, we arrived kind of office dress. The staff and patrons were in jeans and sandals, so we were way over dressed. That and seeing the plastic tablecloths worried us a bit. The first thing we received was bread, which was not a typical French baguette as would be expected, but soft bread, which... More

If I worked downtown, I'd take lunch at Chez Nous every week. We were welcomed and nurtured with truly cheerful, good-natured service. I enjoyed perfect trout with green beans and potato puffs, and my husband relished Croque Madame and salad. Fantastic coffee as well. The restaurant was about 1/4 full. We've had delicious dinner there as well.

The rudeness begin when you still are out! The owner ask you to call your family or friens loudly in order to close the door. Once inside the service is terrible. The owner is one of the waiters and he stupid, rude!!! The food is terrible, low quality, it was the worse duck bread I've even ate in my life.... More

My daughter and I had dinner here 3 nights ago. We both love French food and this was one of the best French restaurants to which we've ever been. My only complaint is that the escargots were a bit weird; they were in the usual white wine/butter sauce and were quite tasty, but w/mushrooms? We've had escargots in many different... More

The décor is not the best. The food was mediocre. I had the March salad and the duck confit. It was fine, but nothing stood out. The wine list was ok, but it won't win an award from a wine magazine (or at least it should not). However, it was different from the usual Tex Mex, Mexican, and BBQ places.... More

WONDERFUL food, great staff in a bistro atmosphere. Open for lunch and dinner. We really enjoyed the French food.

As mentioned previously by another review, an authentic French bistro would serve a good baguette to start--theirs is grocery store. Staff is courteous and service was reasonable at an early dinner when they were not very busy. My wife had scallops which were excellent and I had the prix fix with a beef entrecôte which was rather tough. Given the... More

This is a lovely little place with very good French food and reasonable prices for fine dining in downtown Austin. We had a large cheese plate, soup and salmon and loved every bite. Makes for a great date night with such an intimate atmosphere.
