In Austin for a conference, we were looking for a relatively quiet restaurant with good food. A local attendee at the conference suggested Chez Nous which was downtown near our hotel. It was a delightful experience and not overly pricey. It felt like a casual cafe, but with excellent food. The service was pleasant, the wine list more than adequate.... More

Nice to find a french restaurant in Austin. Friendly service and casual ambiance. It is just off 6th St, so very central all the night life.

Super delicious food!!! Excellent service and pretty nice place. A little piece of France in Austin. I love and recommend the chocolate mousse and the salmon patte.

I really wanted to like this place. As a frequent traveler to France, I was eagerly anticipating a little bit of Paris in Austin. To begin with, we were presented with a basket of bread that must have come from a nearby convenience store. It was tough and tasteless. The carrot-ginger soup was extremely bland. My salade verte never arrived.... More

Who would think that there is an authentic French restaurant in Central Texas? Chez Nous is absolutely wonderful: consistently great food, warm and friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. The fixed price menu is a great opportunity to combine soup/pate/ or salad with a choice of entrees, plus desert, all at a very reasonable price. It's best to arrive by... More

We looked at the small menu and was expecting good things. We were not disappointed. There was nothing really child friendly but our 3yr old eats the same as us, if hours doesn't and requires child friendly choices I would not bother. It was busy, the service was fairly good. The wines were a little pricey for such small glasses.... More

We went to Austin to celebrate my birthday, which happens to fall on French Independence Day - Bastille Day. We stayed at the Hilton Austin and Chez Nous is just across the street. We walked over the day before and had dinner, it was stunning. The atmosphere at Chez Nous is absolutely perfect. The cuisine is classic French fare and... More

The food is exquisite!!! The staff are kind and relaxed which makes the experience even more delightful!!! The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because they served our Rose' wine luke warm and we had to ask for ice as well as something to put the wine in something to cool it off (preferably a bucket of... This restaurant is small & crowded inside. With so many people in such a small area it is noisy & difficult to talk. Some would describe it as cozy but I thought it was crowded. Since we were a party of 9 we were able to reserve a table so didn't have to wait. The wait staff was cordial. All... More

This is a very small French restaurant right off of 6th St. It is very authentic, even our waiters were French. The food is delicious but expect to spend around at least $30 per plate, but it is worth it!
