Quiet, relaxed, and hidden.

Met friends to try something new and visit. That is what we had, relaxed and not too busy for mid day. Food was very filling and tasty. Tried a Rueben sandwich with sweet potatoe fries. Yum. The egg dishes looked amazing. Definitely find this place again.

i have been there several times, and I love the atmosphere, it is aesthetic and whimsical. Especially over Christmas time. They have a pianist play at times. It has a great ambience, and the food was great as well. There is something for everyone, from veggies to meat - I went with a group and everyone loved what they ordered.

I have been to Chez Zee many times of the years. I am always pleasantly surprised. It is a great spot to meet if half the party is coming from far North Austin and half is coming from South Austin. It is very easy to get to less than one minute off Mopac at 2222. I absolutely love the atmosphere.... More

Had dessert here last night with my wife and friends. Consistently excellent cakes cakes and pies. I'd recommend the lemon rosemary cake, and the granny smith apple pie. But, I've yet to have a bad dessert. Coffee could be better based on past experience, but one friend volunteered that the coffee was good, so maybe they've upgraded. Atmosphere always bright... Read so many good reviews about the desserts so thought we would give it a try. I had the chocolate (gf) cake and had ordered the banana creme pie but wasn't a fan of neither one. The banana creme pie crust was so hard that we couldn't even eat it. The chocolate cake was also hard like if it had... More

Went here with friends for a Sat. brunch. Eclectic and lively ambience, huge portions, lots of options. Would definitely go back.

I recently had lunch at Chez Zee as part of a group of 40 women. We were on a tour of Austin and on a time schedule. The restaurant was ready for us when we arrived and promptly started serving our lunch. The food was delicious, it was the best meal of our trip. We were in a private room... More

This restaurant has been a mainstay of north Austin for decades. Little known to visitors, Chez Zee is two blocks west of the intersection of Loop 1 (Mopac) and RR 2222 (Northland) in Northwest Austin. Locals enjoy the bistro atmosphere, great service, and awesome food. In addition to its salads, pasta, fish, and comfort food, it is the number one... More

We read outstanding reviews and wanted to try this place while in Austin. The parking lot was full and the place was packed. While the service was very good, the food was just adequate - nothing special or unique as far as we were concerned. I had the shrimp and corn bisque which was unremarkable in every way. The turkey/swiss... More
