Great start

We didn't really give this restaurant a chance, since we were going to a show and all ordered small plates. The rockfish soup special was tasty, but too salty; my beet salad was very good. Also praised were the veggie lasagna and sauteed gulf shrimp. Very nice prosecco by the glass, and a red... read more

They advertised a nice happy hour experience. The Bar Manager Abbas Tanny was very very knowledgeable and innovative with specialty drinks. Food was delicious

Everyone here is very nice and the music is great. It was challenging to have conversation as a result, which is what we wanted, so if you want good music, go, sit back and enjoy. But if you want conversation, I'd go elsewhere. The staff helped us call cabs and the bartender was very helpful. The food, however, needs work.... More

The dramatically red dining area is on one side and the snazzy bar on the other side. On weekends musical accompaniment by pianio or guitars in the dining space. Shrimp and grits are our fave dish here. An air of elegance infuses the dining area with dramatic paintings. When weather is pleasant, the outdoor patio is delightful. The portions are... More

Flour and Vine consistently serves excellent food, has a casual atmosphere, and takes reservations for any sized party. I recommend the red snapper, the short ribs, and the risotto, but all of the dishes are good. Convenient location, available free parking, and excellent bar, and good service make Flour and Vine our "go-to" choice.

Special occasion restaurant. A lot fancier than we thought compared to usual laid back Austin scene. Food was delicious and well presented. Live piano player during dinner was nice touch adding to romantic atmosphere. Pricey but worth it. Easy parking in attached parking garage. Reservations required for most nights.

This is a good place to have fried green tomatoes, they also have fried Brie that is very tasty. We ordered lobster risotto and spicy shrimp and grits. The pieces of lobster were small, but, the dish was good. The shrimp and grits were yummy, although I would have preferred it a little spicier. The dolce de leche bread pudding served with coffee ice... Good yet very slow service. Certain menu items were great (Cheese in Grits) and some were a disaster (Fish). Good wine list.

Party of six. Had a drink in the bar area and liked the vibe. Happy hour specials were good. Had wine, margaritas and a cheese/meat plate and thought they were good and a good value. Service was good and the wine list was reasonably priced. The food tasted pretty good, but we all thought it was much too salty. Would... More

We have eaten at Flour & Vine several time over the past 18 months, the most recent being June 19th. Food: significantly improved - Good variety of food and the staff will happily work with you if you have allergies and adapt the dishes to your requirements - Salads: my wife loves the Beet Salad... arugula, roasted red beets, cucumber,...
