They had good food. Your typical American style breakfast. The feel was very nice and fun. However, the hostess with pink hair was extremely rude and made several insults. We wanted to leave immediately but we knew several of the other places would be a long wait by that time. I hope she gets fired. She was the worst.

Best mac and cheese and Bloody Mary ever! Never had a Bloody Mary with olives, cucumbers, celery and pickled onions before...and it was perfectly spiced and delicious. Love the ambience, and the waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Fun and uniquely flavored salsas for sale which were displayed in the vintage pharmacy cupboards. There's an oyster bar, too. We were told... More

This restaurant is a classic Austin eating establishment. A converted former pharmacy, the interior is delightful and the patio is the place to sit on a sunny day. The food is fabulous as the omelette with roasted corn and tomato salsa, homemade, aged chorizo served with chipotle dusted roast potatoes was delicious. And, the wasabi bloody Mary was the perfect... More

The place I was staying recommended Hillside Farmacy as it was in the neighborhood. I went there on a Monday morning for breakfast so there was absolutely no wait for a table and the place was quiet and peaceful. The interior is warm and inviting without being too precious. My waitress was attentive and friendly When I inquired about on... More

As others have said, the decor is charming, but then there is the rest. We ordered oysters that were fine… then the wait….and wait …and wait. I ordered duck and was told "oh I thought I told you we were out of that". Finally I asked if food was eminent sometime in my life and was told the mac and... More

The decor has been described in other reviews. The loudness has not been emphasized for Sunday brunch. The place was packed, and the wait to be seated was "20-30 minutes." This was at 12:30 pm. We were seated at 1:30. Despite all the din and masses of people, through which the wait staff had to navigate, no one appeared upset... More

I am glad we tried this restaurant. It was adorable on the inside....retro pharmacy . The brunch menu is quite unique and you cannot make changes to items. The daily omelet had some interesting items including onions. No changes, like omitting the onions could be done. All of the menu items were different (banana peanut butter pancakes). All of the... Fun antique pharmacy retro décor with nice indoor and outdoor seating options. Wait staff were friendly and prompt. The brunch menu is limited in scope and the meal (Big Brekkie and the Bangers & Eggs) were good but not great. The most unique aspect of the food was the great variety of hot sauces (tobacco, jalapeno, habanero, sriracha, etc.) offered... More

The decor is charming. The food is good, not outstanding. The staff, in my half dozen visits, often seems annoyed you're there. Small wine pours and over-priced. You could do worse...and better.

What a cool place.....I loved the decor - old pharmacy cabinets lined the walls and vintage pharmaceutical advertisements on the walls. The oysters were delicious as was were the cocktails - wasabi bloody mary and champagne cocktail. I look forward to returning for a full meal next time I am in Austin.
