Lick was recommended to us by my sister. Unusual and delicious flavor combinations. Be sure to plan a stop at Lick while you are in Austin. Your mouth will thank you!

Read about this somewhere and decided to stop while visiting Austin. Long line but went quickly and the kids scooping the ice cream were so nice. Flavors change so check back often!

We just moved to the area from another amazing foodie city, Asheville NC, my local ice cream love there was The Hop..i really appreciate that they use local ingredients and how fresh and homemade they're ice cream is here. I had the carrot cake and honey vanilla. My husband had the Mexican chocolate i think. It was all pretty perfect.... More

If you want to try green pea ice cream, or goat cheese ice cream, or any other wack permutation of ice cream, this is the place for you. If you want an exquisite , high quality vanilla or chocolate, this is also your stop. Crowds can gather here....and it's not even on the city side. We found this easily accessible... More

We heard good things about Lick, so my friend and i decided to stop by during our weekend trip to Austin and we weren't disappointed! The line was ridiculously long, but we decided to stick it out and i'm glad we did, because it didn't take very long at all for the two young people working at the counter to... More

We had the great idea of getting ice cream after a movie on Friday night. Apparently, everyone else did too. Luckily, the line moved quickly(ish). And it was worth the long line for the most delicious dairy-free ice cream I have ever tasted. The ingredients are wholesome and fresh. The flavors are uniquely strange, yet appealing. I can't wait for... More

Stopped in as we passed through Austin on our way back to Houston. What a treat!! The shop is a bit hidden off the road and hard to spot, but worth it when you do. The place was empty when we walked in and we didn't know what to expect. The young lady working came out and was very helpful... More

It is tricky to find, if you a re nee to Austin, but it is worth the chase. Lovingly crafted and delicious ice creams of complex combinations, which will be difficult to choose from. Blackberry basil and henry caramel sea salt are two faves. Also try and dark chocolate olive oil and lemon lavender. Small servings are appreciated. Look for... More

Sunday night and the temps are still hovering near the hundreds, so it makes sense to go try this local ice cream with the interesting flavor combinations and great T-Shirts [Lick Y'All]. The line is loooong but the diverse clientele and conversations make it truly Austin. I tried the Beet & Mint and Lemon lavender flavors. Not quite the rich... More

My family had a fun time coordinating our ice cream picks so that we could maximize how many different flavor combos we could try. I was afraid the kids would be put off by the unique flavors but was wrong, they'll try beet flavor if it's in ice cream! There was no wait, they were polite to all the kids... More
