Worth finding!

Some time to kill on a football Sunday, but wanting to take advantage of the fine beer & food in town, I sought out this highly recommended spot & was not disappointed. Farm to table type comfort food, and a constantly changing tap list of hard to find brews. Samples from across the globe but... read more

I went to Hopfields on the evening of the USA/Germany women's world cup match. Perfect destination for me: fines beers, knowledgeable staff, small but tasty menu, and a big screen for the match. What's not to like? The beer list was on the short side but very well curated. Perfect as far as I'm concerned. I had the burger which... More

My husband and I met some old friends here while we were visiting my hometown. I have never been here and I loved it. We ordered dinner and drinks. We sat in the front at a table by the bar because there was no wait. The main part of the restaurant had a bit of a wait. We ordered the... More

We have only been twice and both times during the day. Our friends enjoyed the burgers. My husband enjoyed the jambon beurre sandwich. The first time I enjoyed the mushroom tarte with an excellent glass of red wine that was on special offer. The second time the mushroom tarte was disgustingly greasy to the point of giving me a bellyache!... More

On a recent outdoors vacation to Houston, St. Antonio and Houston, we pretty much stumbled upon Hopfield's in Austin. When we walked through the front unassuming bar area, we expected little. But what a surprise. The beers were wonderful craft draughts. The pan roasted chicken was the absolute best chicken dish I have ever eaten in a restaurant (accomplished, we... More

I popped in here with a couple of friends for some drinks and a bite to eat. I loved the menu! Between the four of us, we ordered Tuna tartare, a homemade hot dog, the chicken, and a banana and nutella crepe. All four were delicious but the hotdog was the best hotdog I've ever tasted and the chicken was... More

We're from outside Austin and chose the restaurant from the Zagat site after deciding we didn't quite want to spend the money for Olivia or Lenoir but wanted French. We visited on a Friday night and chose to sit in the quiet dining room rather than the livelier bar area. We sampled the country pate, Pascal burger, mushroom-leek tart, lemon... More

I hesitate to write a good review. I love this place and don't want it to be so packed I can't get in. Of course, they have a great and ever changing menu of craft beers. The wine list may be short, but it's really nice. But the food? The food is so good. From the cheese plate to the... More

Fabulous Pascal burger with gherkins, Camembert, and onions. Comes with a side of great herbed fries and aioli. A fine selection of craft beers on tap from all over the US. Definitely worth a stop if you love burgers and/or beer. Take a seat, order from the bartender and enjoy!

A friend brought me here while I was in Austin for a conference. I like the different seating areas - bar, tables, etc. We sat at the outside back patio. Good selection of interesting beers - Had an IPA - tasty! And yes, the mushroom leek tart - that was the best part! I was expecting typical bar fare, but... More
