Great tasting experience

My husband and I went to this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion and had a wonderful time. They have a 12-course tasting menu for $75, and everything we tried was very creative. The staff is also ver accommodating; they modified their regular menu for me (I am pescetarian). The wine and... read more

What an amazing dining experience we had at this unique restaurant. I love the concept of small bites, as well as food and drink pairings. We had 12 delightful, delicious and inventive bites that were perfectly paired with wine and beer. If I had to pick an favorite (which is no easy task) it was the pig skin noodles with... More

A cozy, restaurant with a rustic feel. If you have a group of 4 you'll likely have your own table, if a couple you might share, but you can still have a relatively private conversation. The food is great, tasty, creative and served over about 12 courses of small, tapas type portions. You feel full when done. We had ours... More

Our kids gave us a gift certificate for Christmas, as they wanted us to experience this great restaurant with a unique menu and atmosphere. We were not disappointed, in fact we were delighted, we had the tasting menu with wine and beer pairing, seated at the counter right in front of the kitchen. The food was outstanding, having dined only... More

simply go there, booking well in advance to enjoy interesting food combination with farm to table concept in the back of your head! Lively and noisy atmosphere of Gastropub with young patrons and innovative cooking. Good wines, nice menus with interesting choices. We had menu and were never disappointed!

Barley Swine is an Austin spot all the way. An old retail strip on S. Lamar is its location. There is very limited seating and no real private spot anywhere, more communal than not. Service is a model for a lot of places to emulate for sure. On Thursday I stopped in to check it out and see if it... More

Very satisfying meal and great service. Very interesting combination of flavors and textures. I am not exactly a foodie, but I did enjoy this dinner. Very laid back, staff did not rush you and worth the money. There is another world in Austin Beyond Bar-B-Q and Tex Mex.

This restaurant came highly recommended by the Austin newspaper. Last review of theirs I believe. The place is Austin funky, sitting on uncomfortable stools, sharing tables. You know the drill. The atmosphere noisy (of course). The food itself? Luckily the chef had over salted EVERYTHING (even the dessert). That was the only way to ascertain we weren't actually just eating... More

This place has a unique and absolutely wonderful vibe for people who love food and exploring new flavour combinations. The set menu is thoughtful and introduces combinations both familiar and new in delicious permutations. Definitely get the drink pairing which includes beer and a variety of wines. Service is friendly and unpretentious, the focus is always on the amazing food.... More

Paired with some beer and wine, the food is just simply amazing. I really liked almost all dishes and especially loved the crab chip, as well as the chocolate with orange and chèvre (had to repeat). Overall, this was an excellent meal that is definitely worth a repeat. Service was superb, atmosphere outstanding. If possible, take a spot at the... More
