Cru is one of my favorite wine bars in Austin (or Dallas!). Love the wide variety of wine flights and the wine list is always changing (although I hate that when I find something I really like and then it's gone!) so there is always something new to try at Cru. The food is also fantastic - the goat cheese... More

A good place to start a night out in downtown Austin. Pricey, but the quality of the wine makes up for it. If you go as a group, be sure to order different set of wine flights so that you can taste as many wines as possible. If you want to eat here, you should make a reservation.

We were able to get a last minute reservation at this very fun restaurant. My husband and I shared the goat cheese beignets drizzled with honey as well as maybe the BEST lamb chop lollipops we've ever had as appetizers. We each enjoyed different wine flights. OHHHH...we had decaf and fell so much in love with it we asked where... More

This is another great spot in Austin's hip 2nd Street Arts District. The place has a European ambience that sets it apart from its neighbors, with a terrific menu and an impressive selection of labels from both Old and New Word wineries. The wine flights are served on a snazzy apparatus that delivers all glasses simultaneously and in proper tasting... More

Went to Cru on 2nd St for Thanksgiving and was utterly disappointed. First, they had a limited menu which was overpriced but when we arrived they had run out of the salmon dish, yet, at the next table they were offered Chilean Sea Bass while we were offered a salad substitute (if you can believe that!). Next, they were out... More

This place is beautiful, elegant, and professional. This place is great for anniversary or business meeting. The food was just ok, but everything else was phenomenal.

With great atmosphere the staff are good but not when it gets really busy like the gp weekend the food is typical Burger chips steak and any thing that will go in a microwave. Don´t go to eat but go for a drink and enjoy.

Cru came highly recommended by the concierge at our hotel and they were right on. Located in a hip part of downtown Austin on 2nd Street, Cru is one of the better places that we have eaten. We ordered a bunch osf the small plates and three flights of wine which were absolutely delicious. Especially the goat cheese beignets! One... More

Visited this restaurant as I always do when visiting Austin. Love the atmosphere, friendly service, wine and food. We had a couple of appetizers which were as exceptional as ever. I had a couple of wine flights which is a good alternative when not sharing a wine bottle. Then we asked for the Fig Glazed Salmon on top of Pesto... More
