Great food at decent prices, however the staff could be a little friendlier and attentive. I went there with the family on a Saturday afternoon. They were not busy at all, and the person working the order window was on the telephone having a conversation with someone that was not appropriate in front of families. We were off put by... More

Just up from the main strip in SoCo, you'll find the Gourdough's donut truck. Here, hungry hordes drool over the impossibly challenging BIG. FAT. DONUT. options; diners snap pics and gasp over the deep fried goodness, and distracted drivers on S 1st Street risk head-on collisions, trying to see what all the fuss is about. After accepting that we'd need... More

First of all they fry the dough right in the truck and your personal doughnut is made to order. The combinations and flavors are endless. The toppings are huge. Its an experience to say the least. Its a teeny tiny parking lot so if there are more than 10 people at this food-truck spot, plan on parking somewhere else (like... More

I had the Diablo. Savory doughnut topped with a fried egg, jalapeno sausage, and jalapeno hollandaise. OMG!!! This place was a definite highlight of our trip.

The donuts are not always fabulous (we got the ODB last night and the donut holes were a tad tough and dry), however this is the quintessential Austin experience. Parking is a pain (small lot) but all that said, you must come here at least once and enjoy the atmosphere and creative sweets.

Some friends of my son's told me about Gourdough's. I had to try it if a bunch of teenagers were talking about it! Went to this little food truck area, by myself, and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of people there were at snack time. I ordered a doughnut for me and my husband. I was surprised that they... I have now had Gourdough's twice and any positive adjective you can think of would work to describe this place. It is like something you have never tasted. In my 2 trips I've tasted 4 different types and they were all awesome! They are on the pricey side but you don't have to eat it all at one time, although... More

Fresh, hot donuts right out of the oil and topped with fresh fruit and creative sides make Gourdough's a destination spot, often with long lines. The trailer park has outside picnic tables lined with hungry bellies taking photos of the many donuts in front of them. The workers in the trailer were so personable, funny and have nailed down the... More

I saw Gourdough's on several national "best donuts" list, so last time my husband and I were in Austin, we had to check it out. I was really disappointed. Gourdough's has lots of crazy toppings that sound cool, but they just didn't work for me. The donut itself was way too thick and didn't have a lot of flavor, and... More
