I had the "Fat Elvis"- a donut covered with peanut butter, honey, grilled bananas, and topped with bacon. When my daughter suggested a "donut" I was thinking "small fried dough covered with sugar". This is nothing near what is being served up at Gourdough's. When I saw knives and forks I was a bit curious, but upon receiving our donuts... More

I give this a 3 out of 5, not because of the food, but because of the service. Don't get me wrong-- when everything is served on a donut-- a REALLY FREAKING GOOD DONUT-- it takes a heck of a lot to make me give it a 3 out of 5. The donuts are amazing. The Sin-a-Bomb is everything Cinnabon... More

We make this stop to the food truck almost every time we are in Austin. They are all big, warm and fluffy to start with. Then they add combinations of toppings that make them just amazing. And when i say toppings, I do not mean just spreading a frosting or a glaze. The Flying Pig is one we get every... More

The food truck that is located here is mainly sweet donuts and not the sandwich and salad options you get at the public house. They did have a couple of actual food options, but there weren't many. It is in an area with several food trucks, so it is a great desert option after you have tacos at nearby trucks.... More

You may think that a $6.00 or so price tag is a lot for a single donut, but you don't need more than one, and the Flying pig was just delicious! Great dough, great icing melt in your mouth, covered in crisp bacon strips. Best combo of sweet and savory! Came from New York for short trip to eat and... More

You just have to try them to understand. Fresh out of the fryer balls of dough with cream and fruit toppings (or try the savory kind with fried chicken or bacon.)

After a long night of bar hopping, myself and my group came here. It might not be the healthiest fare around, but it was a great meal to end a great evening.

This is a fun place. On a Friday night it was loud and crowded. But we found a table right away arriving at 830. Service was prompt and attentive. Draft pours are a bit small but there is a nice selection of local beers. Shared the Big Cheese appetizer. Basically mozzarella in a doughnut shell. Yummy. Tried the Dirty South... More

I wouldn't say I'm a donut expert, I prefer the term connoisseur. I've eaten donuts across the US, so of course Gourdough's was on my list of places to see in Austin. I was not disappointed. Actually, I was blown away. I ordered the Sara's Joy and the ratio of doughy goodness, coconut filling, and sweet, milky chocolate was designed... More

Out looking for dinner in South Austin and Yelp! recommended this place. Wasn't our dinner choice but skipped the flan and headed out to find this place. It was unbelievable! The doughnuts were huge and the options were endless. I got Mama's Cake and my wife got the Karney. Both of us agreed that these were the best doughnuts we've... More
