Sandwiches on doughnuts? You bet! Everything is coming up doughnuts and then some. My daughter had a salad, good but nothing compared to my fried chicken on a maple glazed doughnut - indescribably delicious. Their reputation is well deserved and a must stop when visiting Ausin. It was a drizzly day but the restaurant is very dark inside, very woodsy.... More

I do love eating at Gourdoughs. The hamburger buns for the burgers are doughnuts cut in half and once you sink your teeth into one of their amazing burgers you will come back for more. They have a wide variety of selections of burgers on their menus and also appetizers to please. It has large tv screens where one can... More

We went to this place thinking it was a bakery type deal where they have a display of donuts and you pick what you want. Not the case. You had to decide what you wanted based on a description which I did not like. I prefer to see the finally product (wish I came on here and looked at pictures... More

You've never had a donut like this. The first time we went, it was late, and they said they were "out of chicken". You know you're in for something special when your donut shop is out of chicken. Have tried the chocolate raspberry, the peach one, and the peanut-butter-banana one... share it with a friend or five for when "none... More

I stop at Gordough's regularly when I'm in Austin (much to the dismay of my waistline). You can mix & match toppings, so you're not restricted just to the flavor combinations listed. A donut here is like the love child of a donut and funnel cake & definitely big enough to share.

We went for my daughter's birthday and the food was really good. The chicken was very moist and succulent. Plus the desserts were awesome. A little pricey but quality food.

Just to get things out there -- everything is made with or contains donuts. If you're looking for health food, or even something not UNhealthy, then go somewhere else. Even the salads have donuts involved. That said, the first time I had Gourdough's it was at the South Lamar location for an office luncheon. I had the Mother Clucker. And... More

Eat here at risk of heart attack. Seriously, do we really need to overindulge in doughnuts embellished with bacon, extra sugar, hamburgers & cheese. Probably good for hangover cure. Indigestion guaranteed!

Cheat day! Don't expect to keep to your diet plan. But it's worth it! If you like donuts then your in luck. Or if you are like me and don't like donuts then you are still in luck because it's slightly different. The bread they use is great and sweet but not so sweet and sugary like an actual donut....
