Carry-out Available- but don't!

In town for work, and was looking for something close but not a chain. I was pleased to hear they would accept phone orders. When I got to the restaurant, I was disappointed that I chose carry-out! Darling location, very charming. I had ordered the blackened chicken pesto, and it was divine! The... read more

My husband and I randomly found this place and I'm glad we stopped in. Nestled between Walmart and Golden Corral is this chef owned gem. We had chicken and andouille sausage gumbo with a fantastic roux. My husband had tilapia almandine and I had the shrimp creole, both very good. The the best part of the meal was the orange... More

Four of us dined on Mar. 05, 2015. The birthday boy had been there before, and recommended this restaurant. The other 3 were newbies. When walking in, I was impressed. For a strip mall restaurant, the place looked like it should have been a stand-alone building! Beautiful decor, tables were not real close together, and were we greeted by a... More

This is one of my favorite Austin eateries that I have not patronized in awhile plus I have been promising to take Lady Ann to The French Quarter Grille for lunch so today was the day. We started off with the chicken and andouille sausage gumbo which was absolutely deeelicious. My main course was the shrimp and crawfish pasta, in... More

We went to French Quarter for the 1st time because we had a coupon. But the food here is worth paying full price! Since then, we have returned at least once a month to enjoy the gumbo, ettoufee, pecan trout, and my husband's favorite, the fish Ponchitrain -- which has a wonderful sauce of brandy, roué, mushrooms, and crawfish. We... More

I have to say the Gumbo was amazing and it has me wishing I had another bowl today. The Oysters Rockefeller was outstanding with breaded oysters - kind of an unusual twist but delicious. The only thing I would ask is that they offer beignets for dessert. In my opinion that is a staple dessert offering for a cajun restaurant.... More

Shame they closed the RR location, food doesn't appear to be as good and ambiance has gone. Food is ok, prices are reasonable just doesn't hit the spot as before. Not many quality Cajun food places in area so even with the downside it's still worth a visit.

Wow! Had my birthday dinner here while visiting Austin for the Formula 1 race, and wow am I glad I did. Starting with the Fried Green tomatoes with Crab meat Remoulad, Blackened redfish topped with crawfish etouffe, food was fresh, flavorful and authentic. I've spent a lot of time in the Big Easy, and the food here was better than... More
