Shame they closed the RR location, food doesn't appear to be as good and ambiance has gone. Food is ok, prices are reasonable just doesn't hit the spot as before. Not many quality Cajun food places in area so even with the downside it's still worth a visit.

Wow! Had my birthday dinner here while visiting Austin for the Formula 1 race, and wow am I glad I did. Starting with the Fried Green tomatoes with Crab meat Remoulad, Blackened redfish topped with crawfish etouffe, food was fresh, flavorful and authentic. I've spent a lot of time in the Big Easy, and the food here was better than... More

Had dinner with colleagues at this little gem. We did have to wait quite a while (an hour) on a Wednesday evening after being told by our nearby hotel that a reservation would not be needed, so maybe think about calling ahead. The menu is reflective of Louisiana, with lots of seafood, crawfish, crab, and shrimp dishes to choose from.... More

Hidden is a strip mall in the Walmart parking lot across fro the garden center. The food is tremendous. Small and intimate setting, don't let the location fool you. I try to visit it each time I am in Austin, about 4-6 times a year.

It is recommended by by coworker who knew I like French Quarter at New Orlean. The place is not that big so it is somewhat cozy. Since my husband and I are not a drinker so there is not much to say about the drink menu but the appetizers and entree menu are good. Crawfish etouffee is so delicious that... More

Burned myself out on BBQ this week, two days in a row, so it was time to shift gears and go in another direction. The French Quarter Grille was chosen for today's lunch. Today's house special was Blackened Chicken with some sort of fancy creamy seafood topping. It sounded good but at the next table I saw something that looked... More

Recently I and a friend took in the Cajun charm of the French Quarter Grille. This was our third time there. They are hands down one of the best places in the area for REAL Cajun fare. From catfish, to crawfish this place has it covered. The Crawfish Beignet are scrumptious!, and one of their best sellers. The fish selections... More

Enjoyed having dinner here. The food was good but not great. The stuffed catfish was good but the stuffing did not have enough crawfish....too much filler. The crab and shrimp salad was very good. Portions were good and the service friendly.
