The Driskill is a grand old hotel and the dining toom is beautiful. The offer a pre fixe menu as well as a regular menu. I had the Filet and is was among the best I've had. My wife had a tomahawk chop, which was a sight to behold. Food and service wer both fanastic!

The Bar did not show up on trip advisor but chose to stay in there. Piano bar with lots of historics in there. had brussel sprout appetizer. I will go back for more plus flat bread little pizza looking things : ) Didnt want anything else for dinner. Go to the bar. The Grill might be good too??

We had heard about the historic hotel so stopped in to enjoy the bar area. Beautiful western paintings on the walls, cow hide table tops, six shooters mounted on the walls, fabulous place to see and spend time in. Their cheese soup was "souper"!! Stop in.

I sat down in thd first quarter of the New England Baltimore game. Had to go to the bar for my drink, asked got a menu, got it 30 minutes later. It's halfway through the 4th quarter and I've not been asked if I want to order. The one waitress I did flag down said she'd let my waitress know.... More

Our family spent December 28-January 2 in Austin. We shared many wonderful meals, moments, and memories. One less so was going to the Driskill Hotel on January 1 for their legendary Bloody Mary bar. I checked via email and phone a number of times prior to our visit to make sure the hotel was still doing this event. I was... More

Visited on Christmas Day one of the few restaurants that was open. Amazing decor which harkens back to the 19th century. Make sure to visit the bar and enjoy the excellent food.

After dinner, our host took us to the Driskill Bar for drinks. Lots of seating, lots of wood and dark- it was perfect. Great service by wait staff and bartenders. They referred us to CU 29 Cocktail Bar after they closed at midnight, which was around the corner.

Hubby and I went to the Driskill Grill for happy hour. It's what you want a classic Texas hotel to look like...steer heads mounted on the walls, copper ceiling, leather, etc. Drinks were very tasty and service was pretty good, considering it was a packed house and there seemed to be only two servers on the floor. We shared the... More

Beautiful period room. Gracious servers who make everything perfect. Excellent choices ... antelope, braised bacon, wild boar with a very (not sweet) root beer braise and sauce. Very enjoyable evening.

Because the downstairs restaurant is under renovation, we were forced to meet our friends at the grill, upstairs. My breakfast with eggs and bacon was good but the two who ordered the goat cheese salad were not happy. My daughter who ordered the turkey sandwich was most unhappy so left the entire sandwich on the plate, uneaten. Won't meet our... More
