My college aged son and I were watching a program on food trucks and they mentioned The Mighty Cone and the food sounded interesting. So we made that our family activity that weekend. Its located in a very nice permanent food truck park called Picnic (on Barton Springs). There is loads of seating (both in the shade and out), regular... More

The avocado and chicken cone were so good, especially their oen of a kind breading on it. My kids liked their burger, though it was pretty small. The mozzarella sticks were also good.

I saw The Mighty Cone at ACL but the line was really long. So, I tried the food truck on Barton Springs. I chose the fried shrimp and avocado. Who knew an avocado could be fried? It was delicious! It is served in a flour tortilla with slaw. It is easy to eat and doesn't make a huge mess. I... More

Their slogan said deep sauteed, I was turned off at first that everything was deep fried. But then I saw many people eating these fabulous looking cones at the ACL Festival. I decided to give the cone a try when we saw the truck outside the festival. I ordered the chicken which is apparently their most popular. They asked if... More

This food truck reminded my husband and I of an Asian fusion restaurant we have in our home of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Delicious deep fried shrimp wrapped in a tortilla with some spicy mayo tasting sauce. So good!

The Mighty Cone is one of my favorite food trucks in Austin (so far - there are so many that a girl can hardly keep up!). I've had the crunchy chicken and avocado cone at least twice and it hasn't disappointed me yet. The breading is light but flavorful and the chipotle mayo is divine. The coleslaw that serves as... Loved the flavor. I had the hot & crunchy chicken cone which is basically chicken served in a paper cone with coleslaw. The sauce was fantastic, with a slight spice to it and was very filling. Would go again, it's definitely a must-try if you're doing the food truck rounds. This was at the Rio Grande food court which had... More

Such interesting & addictive light coating that they put on their chicken, shrimp & Avacado that I crave between visits. Check it out & try the fried pickles - awesome!

My husband had tried the chicken cone at ACL a few years back and raved about it. I had to try it when I got to Austin and it was really good. I didn't know quite how to eat it, its pretty interesting! We both got the deluxe chicken and avocado cone. It's a food truck and the picnic tables... More
