Loved this restaurant! Went here for my birthday and called to make reservations. They didn't have anything until ten so we decided to drive up there and have drinks while we waited. Lucky for us they had a table of six cancel and sat us right away! The service was on point. I do not eat meat or fish so... More

What a wonderful dinner this evening! Nice atmosphere, great service - every server helped to make sure we had everything we needed and to clean our table of unnecessary items. We were seated just inside back area. As couple recommendations from our server were Brussels sprouts (yummy) and hotate (great). Also got p-38 and shag rolls, jar jar duck (amazing!!),... More

We tried the Chef's selection. Each dish was unique in flavor. The fish was fresh. The used a lot of local produce. Superb servers and service. If you like sushi, then this is a must when in Austin.

At first glance, the menu might as well have been in Japanese! ;-) But our attentive and friendly waiter explained the menu (it's tapas style) and helped us order some delicious dishes. Most of them looked liked works of art, and tasted even better. One of our favorites was the "karaage" (fried marinated chicken, cucumber, seasonal pickle)...we ordered a second... More

My girlfriends and I took a trip to Austin last month. This was the BEST meal we had the entire weekend... maybe ever. The prices are very reasonable (We are from LA for reference). Everything we ate was fresh and prepared with such attention to flavor. The ambience is great, the service was even better. From our waitress to the... More

Uchiko is cool and the food good but the prices are a little high considering what you get. As with many gourmet restaurants, the portions are very small. It is fun to share 5 or 6 courses with your partner and, as I said, the food is great but consider stopping for donuts, afterward.

Uchiko never disappoints. I never would have thought a sushi restaurant would be my favorite restaurant in Austin and one of my all time favorites, period. Sushi doesn't begin to describe the complex melding of flavors (hamachi and watermelon; Asian pear and salmon) of fresh seafood (flown in twice weekly from Tsukiji in Tokyo) as well as incredible dishes like... I am not a sophisticated foodie but the tastes and flavours prepared by the team of chefs at this consistently outstanding restaurant are not to be missed. This was our second visit and the surprise and delight was no less than the first. As important, the ladies at reception were welcoming and set the tone for a wonderful evening. And... More

Definitely the best Sushi I've had in Texas. Fresh, interesting, beautifully presented - and very reasonably priced for the quality of the food. The puddings are all glorious, Save space. Can be quite lively/noisy (happily so) at supper time - definitely a place for friends and family - not hard-of-hearing grandparents!

This restaurant offers a lot a dishes of fusion cuisine. We tested a lot of dishes and everthing was deliciuous and fresh! The cooks are able to mix different flavous blancing them. The rest of the staff is great and our waiter paid a lot of attention to our questions and gave us a lot of goods suggestion. Lovely dinner!
