My favorite Austin restaurant! The ten course chef's tasting is a must. Some of my favorites are the live dayboat scallop, sea bream, jar jar duck, on and on. Few sushi restaurants have the breadth of flavors and options like Uchiko. Here's to many, many more successful years!

My wife, daughter and I ate here in January 2015. It was truly excellent. The food is inventive and very well prepared, the service first class and the presentation subtle and elegant. We tried a variety of dishes, one or two from each of the menu's main categories: sushi, meat (that we cooked at the table, on a hot rock),... More

If you like Sushi, be sure to try this place, you will not be disappointed. The menu is varied and had many interesting choices. We started with drinks and had unfiltered sake ( a first experience for me and it was very good) and then had edamame and some other appetizers. We ordered a number of sushi items, each one... More

My colleagues and I dropped in just to get out of traffic. We were not sushi connoisseurs so the waiter had his work cut out for him. Everything was great and I would highly recommend it.

Very scenographic place. The sushi is small in portion but put very well in the dish. So if you have a thick wallet and sense the flavour with the eyes this is the place for you. I wouldn't go back.

We needed a convenient, easy, and not egregiously expensive option for NYE. Uchiko provided. Normally, I wouldn't write a review for such a singular, annual event. However, the Omikase tasting they offer is available to you each and every day. Of course, they gave it an extra kick for NYE, but it was indicative of the quality and experience one... More

I love sushi and Uchiko does a fantastic job with it. Best sushi in Austin by far! We had the best time and loved everything about our time here.

We went with another couple for New Year's Eve. The restaurant was lively and crowded but the ambiance is what sets the tone - that warm, masculine feeling that draws you in. We started in the bar while waiting for our table and even though it was very busy, we never had to wait long to be served. Once we... More

We were treated to this meal for a friend's 20th birthday. We let the waiter choose our dishes and everything that we received was divine. The wine was incredible and the fried milk was definitely a highlight. The atmosphere was sophisticated and I would love to return. Great place to celebrate a special occasion.
