We decided not to wait in line at Uchi, the sister restaurant of Uchiko's. Our friends arrived at 6pm to get on the list and were told a table would be ready for us by 7pm. They serve wine, beer, and sake. The restaurant is small and the tables close together. There were 6 of us and we were lucky... More

Uchiko is probably one of the best food & service experience of my life ! This place is a must, perfect from A to Z. Special thanks to our waiter Marko (from Croatia) and his recommandations. He made our evening even more pleasant and this dinner sublime. At the end you pay for the amount of pleasure you got but... More

Every time I have been here I have had an excellent meal, there is not one thing I have ever ordered that I have not been happy about. The price is actually quite fair, people tend to think it is expensive but it really isn't, not when you compare it to other places that give you far less for your... More

I've been to Uchiko twice... fancy sushi... love sushi... love fancy..., but somehow it doesn't quite all come together. if I could give this 3 1/2 stars. I would. Nice atmosphere and wait staff is efficient, though eager for you to spend more than maybe everyone wants to spend. The food is good, but be prepared that it's not your... More

Easily the best sushi I've had. Fresh, made to order, top quality. Service is excellent as well. It's best to make reservations, typically 10 days in advance, to insure you get a table. Walking in is possible, but you made end up sitting at the bar. There's a reason they have a James Beard award, and they book out 10... More

We dined at Uchiko because an out-of town friend had been to Uchi and wanted to try this location. It is difficult to get reservations, so plan in advance. My favorite thing was the brussel sprouts. They were amazing. I myself don't care for raw anything. I was really hoping, given the outstanding reviews that there would be more offerings... More

This is another spot in Austin that is not to be missed. Everything we had here was incredible. We took all of our waiters recommendations and they were all top notch

My husband and I went here for our anniversary. We know there are a lot of things on the menu that we wouldn't be sure about so we went with the chef's tasting. We were very impressed with every single item! We can't wait to go back and try more! Or even the same things again! I couldn't stop talking... More

Establishment was quite open and atmosphere was inviting. This was my first visit with two friends during a busy weekend in Austin (F1 weekend). Service was quite good. Menu was reasonable. Food was very good, although I found it to be somewhat altered to the local taste (ie. not the same as sushi or sashimi from Hawaii). I gave the... More

Overall I thought the Austin food scene didn't live up to the magazine hype, but this place was one that did. No food item was bad and most were well above average. My wife and I got some of the unique cooked sushi rolls, such as bacon & egg and the beef tongue toro. They were decent but they were... More
