My husband can't stop raving about this place and I agree...the menu was very different and every item we selected was a unique food experience. We poured soy sauce but did not need it. Each dish came with a home made sauce...a flavor explosion...go here if you want something to talk about...not cheap...but worth it. If you are looking for... More

Absolutely delicious sushi in a league all of its own. Subtle delicate falvors & meats that melt in your mouth. Excellent & knowledgable staff assisted with our party's food allergies with ease. The restaurant is a little loud, but our party of 4 had no problem hearing each other. Amazing experience. Wish I had the funds to eat there all... More

I was thoroughly impressed by this restaurant. The wait staff was incredibly pleasant, and the happy hour is quite the bargain. This crispy tuna hand rolls were only $6 and came with a great chili dipping sauce. The fish was impressively fresh-especially given the price. I will definitely return if I'm craving sushi in Austin.

First the good: service was exemplary, very professional. The ceviche of scallops, the golden beets in honey, the sea bass - all were excellent, very well presented. The chicken and rice rolls were very good but could have been improved with a sauce on the side. But this is not only the noisiest restaurant I've ever been in.. I've been... More

If you love sushi, go everywhere else before coming here... because after you do you won't want to go anywhere else. Expensive? Yes, but totally worth the experience.

Very interesting menu with a wide variety of choices from Wagyu beef to Sushi Rolls and everything in between. A great sake and beer selection. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I have been to Uchiko many times and whenever I am in Austin I plan a dinner there. My experience on these occasions has been pleasant. I thought I had enough number of visits to write about this place so that what's consistent and therefore to be expected at this place can be seperated from what's one off. Food- Uchiko... More

Modern, creative, and edgy, yes but there was something missing that I just can't put into words. The staff were all friendly, easy-going, yet very rushed. Our waiter forgot two or three of our orders but we adjusted. There were 2 older teens with an educated palate but they weren't thrilled with the menu even though they love, love, love... More

Creative sushi and rolls. Less wasabi and soy and more of a focus on interesting spices. Definitely worth the visit.

We were fortunate to get a reservation on a quick trip to Austin . The place was packed at 6:30. Even though the menu can be hard to discern with lots of Japanese and obscure ingredients , do a little research ( ie . Brussels sprouts , Japanese bream , Hot rocks and duck )but depend on the very helpful... More
