The food is amazing and definitely worth waiting in line for 4 hours for. Some people were well prepared for the wait with chairs and coolers, but the staff was so kind to bring out cold drinks for us newbs. We had the best brisket, ribs and sausage that we have ever had, but I am sure that everything here... More

of brisket. oh yes it is my friends, none better in the universe and you get to stand or sit if you rent a chair for 3 plus hours conversing with a whole lot of very nice bbq fanatics like yourself. the wait in line made the food all the more special. And the food, everyone has heard this is... More

The lengthy line wait is well worth the effort. The staff is friendly and they come out to the line to make sure everyone is comfortable and hydrated (with the beverage of your choosing). While I was not particularly fond of the sausage, the ribs and brisket will have you wondering why you don't spend every day waiting in the... More

Let me start off by saying that I love barbecue. Love it. When done right, there's nothing I'd rather have. Having read the reviews (and not wanting to wait in line for 2 hours), we decided to try to show up after the lunch rush. Seeing that it was a Friday, we pushed it back until 2:00. When we arrived,... More

WOW! I never wait for food, but this was definitely worth it. The hype is real! I have no idea how they are able to infuse soo much flavor into the meat. We had the brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and sausage. I would skip the sausage, it's pretty bland, but everything else is epic. The brisket is thick, tender, and... More

They should call this "The Franklin's BBQ Experience" because that's exactly what it is... an 'experience.' 1. Arrived around 8:45, on a Wednesday, and the line was in the little parking lot behind the place. Brought lounge chairs and cooler, which is an absolute necessity, based on previous reviews. Glad I did. 2. The conversations with others in line was... More

Have heard all the hype about Frankin's BBQ from friends and family in Austin. Finally made time to wait on line to try it last visit. Big mistake. Austin in June is hot which I don't mind and humid which I do. Have sat on tarmacs in Kuwait, Dubai, Baghdad, Kandahar and not been as wet. Did have some pleasant... More

Waiting is part of the Franklin BBQ experience. So you have to deal with it...and enjoy. Tips for those planning to visit (especially during the unfortunate Texas summer): 1. Come in as early as 5-6AM to be first in line and wait IN THE SHADE. Being in the shade makes a huge difference (just catch up on sleep when you're... More

The BBQ is delicious. Yes, the line is long. Suck it up. Bring some friends, drinks, chairs, and maybe even a snack. You'll be glad you waited. OR. If you don't want to wait for some delicious BBQ, just become President, and you'll get to cut the line...
