Are you kidding...

This is the best brisket I've ever had. You can tell that beyond just to slow cooking and simple seasoning, there's a quality to the beef well beyond the normal BBQ joint. The cool thing is the brisket is not the only thing Franklin does well. The Turkey, ribs, sausage are all great. So some folks... read more

We had someone do the line waiting for us so didn't get that experience. The brisket and ribs were so good, I had no idea that barbecue could taste so over the top! Best Barbecue I have ever had and I'm 63!

There is no comparison to Franklins. In an area with lots of great barbeque, Franklins is alone at the top. The wait is 3 to 4 hours. Get ther at 7:30 am and you will be one of the first to get in when they open at 11:00. They usually close down the line at 1:30, cause they run out... More

I have eaten at many barbecue places but none matches the quality and taste of Franklin's. Everything on their menu is tender, flavorful and delicious. We have been many times and stood in line for hours. The time passes fast since the other people waiting generally visit with the people around them and there are several chairs available to borrow... More

I love this place, sometimes they're hard to get, there's definitely other places you can go. But this place is great, the people are nice and helpful. They can do large to go orders but you have to plan a month in advance at least. Definitely 5 star though

I think that this is the best BBQ in austin. Howevery, no matter the time of day you will have to be prepared for a long line. It is common to wait in line for 45-60 minutes. One trick is to call in an order and pick it up.

Simply the best BBQ I've ever had. Even though I was behind the last man standing (when they begin to run out of meats for the day, they can't guarantee you'll get what you want) I did get my pulled pork and that heavenly brisket. Beans were tasty as well and the pecan pie, do die for! Get there early... More

After that first taste melts in your mouth you pray to the gods for the cows sacrifice...um um, so so good. Flavors are amazing and worth the drive and wait. Still thinking of it....yummmmmmmmy, so good it would convert a vegetarian.

It's hard to be objective about a place with so much hype, but I don't think it was mind-glowingly good. And the truth is, after standing in line for four hours anything would taste good. That being said, it was good, and I enjoyed the experience but I don't know if I would do it again. Get there early and... More

We have visited Franklin Barbecue a couple of times in the past few months. It is well worth the hour + drive from near San Antonio, and even worth getting up before dawn to wait in line for 4 hours before they even open!! Since we ate Franklin's bbq, no other bbq can compare! It is simply incredible. We've had... More
