Interesting to read people's reviews about this place. Decided to check this place since people are saying this place is the best ribs. We had to wait about 45 minutes to order food. We ordered ribs and brisket. Ribs is okay - not the best but the brisket was pretty good. will probably not come back here - I can... More

I went in after a meeting and was lucky enough to avoid the infamous lines. The guys behind the counter were friendly...let me rephrase...they were awesome! I learned a wonderful tip about the restaurant but I can't give it away because next time I go you would be there utilizing my tip!! Lol Check this place out if you can,... More

My husband and I were undecided about trying Franklin, as we both hate waiting in line. A cold and dreary day meant that the line was only 1.5hrs long and we got there shortly after 11:30, so we decided to stay. Friendly wait staff brought us drinks, and gave us all the info about wait times, washrooms, etc. The wait... More

We were in San Antonio on business, but came in a few days early so we could see some sights and visit Franklin BBQ. We got up early on a Tuesday and drove into Austin. Horribly slow traffic started many miles before getting to our exit, so we didn't get into line til 9am. There were plenty of chairs to... More

Great BBQ overall, but the brisket is outstanding! The bark, the smoke ring, the spices and flavor just work so well together, creating the perfect brisket. Also tried the potato salad, beans, turkey, pulled pork sandwich and the tipsy Texan (also a must try). Got there around 1230pm, waited in line for about 90 minutes. Avoided the 4-5 hour wait... waited in line for 6 hours but it was worth it. brisket was the best I've ever had, service was friendly and on point and the atmosphere was great. the wait in line went really fast because it is sort of like a tailgating experience. definitely suggest bringing snacks, cooler of beer and good people. pulled pork was above average,... Well worth the two hour wait in the cold! Best BBQ I have ever had. Beyond flavorful. I understand why the president ate there.

We always stop here when we go to Austin. I hate that the lines are long and it takes up alot of the day to get food but I think it must be worth it since I've done it the 2 times that I've been to Austin.

Prepare to wait for a couple of hours on the line. If you want to make sure to get anything you want, you have to go early. Some items may be finished if you go late. Must try brisket. It is moist and flavorful!!
