Austin, Texas, has become a ctiy 'full of itself'....and in that regard, this restaurant is part of the picture. Yes, the food was above average, yes the ambiance was above average, the server was superb, the drinks stingy in size. My Austin family wanted to treat me to a birthday dinner; and I appreciate their effort; but, overall, this restaurant... More

The food was fairly good their stuff pork was quite nice. It was not nearly as packed as I thought it would be on a Thursday night around 9 for such a well rated place, so you shouldn't have an issue getting in if you are willing to eat a bit later. They do take reservations as long as you... More

Incredible food, awesome drinks, spectacular service. Josh was our server and he was great! Made fantastic menu suggestions, and took very good care of us! We recommend the guacamole as an appetizer, and treat yourself to a Bloody Mary (the BEST we've ever had!! made with pepper infused vodka from Dripping Springs...) we will definitely be back and will tell... A friend recommended this place and it was quite crowded even early. I had to eat in the outdoor patio which was a bit humid. Staff were very nice and I had pumpkin seed chicken which was quite good and different. It is not too expensive and worth the visit. Parking is difficult.

Wonderful. Excellent service. We had the fried pork chop dinner and a burger. The burger was amazing. The ingredients were fresh. Just can't say enough good. The guacamole was delicious. Was our favorite meal we had in Austin.

We frequently eat at Jack Allen's and find it to always be good, some times great. Last night was great - Crispy Fried Gulf Snapper, veggie studded rice & pico de gallo, gulf crab meat & cilantro pesto cream, shaved zucchini salad. This is a new favorite. Fish tacos are constant item on menu and the go to for me... More

Jack Allen's has an atmosphere that can't go wrong with any occasions. Either you're searching for a restaurant for casual or semi-formal dining, this is the place. The best part, however, was the food. True quality American food. Some must-get appetizers were the BLT sliders and the crab and artichoke dip; those were perfect dishes to start the meal. For... I finally had the opportunity to try Jack Allen's Kitchen. I have heard quite a bit about it & wanted to check it out. We went on a Saturday afternoon & sat on their beautiful enclosed patio. It overlooks a small stream on the side of a hill. Very modern décor. We were brought a sample of their pimento cheese.... More
