I love both locations of JA Kitchen, the food, atmosphere, service is great. I do think the South location is cooler for special evenings. The complimentary pimento cheese always prompts me to take a few jars home, it's sooo good! Great table-side guacamole, just a dependable go-to.

An Austin original restaurant that is too eclectic with a price that is way out of reach for the quality of food. There is the original location in South Austin and then they put one in North Austin. I've been to both only one time each over the past 10 years and only for a special occasion will I return... More

It can be a zoo on the weekends. But that's because it's a good place to hang out. Seven layer queso and the bacon wrapped quail legs great starters. I'm partial to the chicken fried NY strip. It goes well with the grilled/pickeled jalapenos. Only reason I don't throw a fifth star at them is because of the noise.

My first visit to Jack Allen's Kitchen won't be my last. The chicken fried beef ribs were ridiculously good. The pimiento cheese is delish as well. My sister and brother-in-law both loved their dishes as well.

Great for family brunch, couples dinner, girls night out, old friends etc. Jack Allen's suits them all. Locally sourced food inventively prepared but without pretension & portions are not skimpy. Two great locations, one creek side that makes one forget the metropolis for a while. Great bar, excellent service. Save room for dessert!

We met another couple for dinner here on a Friday and thank goodness they had made a reservation as the place was packed! Great wine list and cocktails. All of the food is locally sourced and organic. Very nicely prepared. I had the trout and she had the brisket. Wow, what a great meal. Homemade deserts capped it off. I... More

This was our first time to visit Jack Allen's and we would return for another meal. We ate at the 360 location, the salmon was good perfectly & the chorizo stuffed medallions were good. Love the atmosphere & the mixology type bar. We were surprised at the crowd, but our 30 minute wait was tolerable. Service was OK, our waiter... More

I ate 3 times at this restaurant during a recent 8 day stay in Austin. I Tate at the 360 location and highway 71. The atmosphere was nice and true to TX. The food was fresh and exciting! The country club chicken salad - marinated chicken with a small kick, fancy greens, apples, figs ... Champagne vinaigrette ...amazing! They've got... More

We had a great time at this restaurant great food with reasonable prices but our waiter Sean really made our night. He had great knowledge on the menu as well as being really friendly and helpful nothing was too much for him. If your reading this Sean me and my partner really appreciate everything. Big thumbs up many thanks again... More
