We stopped by Frank's on a cold windy day without any recommendations. The food, beer and service was excellent. Who know one could prepare hot dogs in so many ways. Fun atmosphere.

Fun food and great beer selection. The service was equally great. I tried a dog that was filled with cheese, wrapped in bacon (SOLD!) and topped with coleslaw. It was awesome. My only criticism is that the bun was a little too bready and too big for the dog. I wanted more dog and less bread. I will definitely go... More

Located on the SW edge of Austin, JAK is completely worth the drive. Clearly, both a neighborhood restaurant and a destination, the food, drinks, wait staff and atmosphere were all top notch.

We sat outside Franks on a sunday having a drink while finding our way around Austin. The queue for brunch was amazing so we decided to try it later in our visit. Great food good beer and really good service, see photo's of the food. Although the major on pork and all its tasty friends the menu does have other... More

Great Breast ate there 2 days in a row.. Service was hit or miss. The portobello taco was great. Just becarful the wait staff is hit or miss. It was also great while waiting for the meal to read the different liquers and what they had fermiting in them from bacon to banannas.

This place raises hot dog to an art form. Best hot dogs (yes, tried bites of others' dogs). And yummy sides.

I came back for bunch not so long ago and I was swept off my feet. My initial experience over a year ago was not good... they were slammed and our server was MIA for almost 20 mins, they made it up for us and our whole order was 'on the house' (being customer focused is my weakness) I had... More

Had the chili cheese dog on the corn wrapper. Cannot stop thinking about it. Seriously, husband and I had to stop ourselves from going back the next day. Fun atmosphere, solid service, diverse beer menu and good value too. Wish there was a Frank's where we live (though probably better that there's not). Found the waffle fries to be underwhelming.... I love Frank's and use it as an example of Austin food...a place dedicated to someone's passionate vision of hot dogs. Went there on a Sunday, stumbled into ACL hipster brunch and it was equally passionate and unique. Avo eggs Benedict was yum, chicken and waffles also good. Love the vibe, food matches it.

Great sandwich. Speedy service with average prices. Tried the sausage with BBQ sauce sandwich. Something different since a lot of places do not serve sausage. Highly recommended.
