Had some ice cream after a burger next door with my manager. Good stuff as always. Unfortunately the Doctor Who themed tee shirt they had on the wall was for their frequent eater card program, so I couldn't buy one, but my manager got one for me thanks to his kids' help with going through ten ice creams (not in... One hot night we walked by this place on South Congress. I had been hearing about it from the locals and knew I had to try it. We had seen people waiting in line so we knew it had to be good. When we got to the window (this place is outside) we couldn't decide. The sweet young guy let... More

Austin staple that you MUST try. A little pricey, but only a bit more compared to average ice cream shops. The Mexican vanilla ice cream is so good and is a definite must

We stopped into the Amy's Ice Cream at I-35 and Slaughter on Saturday. I got Mexican vanilla ice cream with Heath bar candy. It was good. They have some very interesting flavors there -- Remember the AlaMode, Shiner Beer and others I'm not recalling at the moment. They also have fun combos with hot fudge, etc. It's $5 for a... More

I am a big ice cream fan and I looked forward to going to Amy's when we got to Austin. Every location is jam packed and every line is ridiculously long. So we went to a location a little out of the city, and very much out of our way. The line was bearable. The prices are absurd. There were... More

When I lived on this side of town, it was nice to visit the Amy’s location in the area. But then it closed, as a prelude to having the Austinville location opened. Unfortunately it took longer than originally planned, and by the time it was done, I was living in a different section of the city. Since my travels took... More

But it's half melted by the time they mix in your toppings. Very creative array of flavors, including a couple beer flavors. They flavors are great and it's quality ice cream. I just like mine frozen.

Took the kiddos here to have their first Amy's ice cream experience and to although they liked the taste of the ice cream, they were disappointed their topping choice was not ones tat could be mixed into the Tiny size. We really couldn't figure out why because they were even getting a cup vs a cone?
