Shining cocktails and delicious, original food

The ambiance is great - sort of 1920's in France- as befits a place which serves absinthe and absinthe cocktails. This is only one part of the imaginative cocktail list, which also has outstanding offerings based on bourbon, gin, or other liquors. Read the descriptions then let your server help... read more

Attentive service, excellent cocktail and wine selection, only 1 beer choice. Adult clientele, not full of 20-somethings. Didn't dine but the food looked well prepared, will eat here when we return to Austin.

We dined at Peche on Friday evening. I had heard so many positive comments about this place so I was really looking forward to the experience with much anticipation. As a group of four we were somewhat disappointed. The drinks were fabulous so we assumed the food would be also. For appetizers we had mushrooms and bone morrow with fries... More

A great place with attentive staff, interesting and unusual cocktails - absinthe is a specialty - and scrumptious food. My shortrib with goose fat mashed potatoes and mushroom jus was just perfect. A very minor criticism would be the lack of vegetables on the side but this didn't detract from what was a memorable dining experience. Well worth checking out!

A must for cocktail lovers that want to experience something different from real mixologists. Great ambiance. Enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching all the different drinks being made.

My wife and I wanted to avoid the frat row atmosphere of 6th Street and were looking for a quiet, upscale place. We stopped in Peche based upon a quick glance in the window. The inside has the vibe of a European wine bar and the bartenders were terrific. We enjoyed it very much and would recommend it to anyone.... More

This establishment is a rarity and well worth a Visit. Absinthe Paradise. If you have never had it This is THE place. We began with two different absinthe cocktails. " Ernest Hemmingway's Death in the Afternoon" and Absinthe prepared the " Traditional way ". Larry comes over to explain the history of absinthe and to answer any questions. Nice touch.... More

We have tried something new every time, and kudos to the brilliant chef! Now the bad news, the bartenders range from fabulous to "you are lucky that I am paying attention to you". Not impressed with the service as a whole, servers are loud when they are not attending people. A real turn off to what could be a very... More

With all my trips to Austin how in the heck have I missed this place? If you are a fan of craft cocktails, go nowhere else. Seriously. I ordered the Manhattan Club. Best ever Manhattan and this is from a serious Manhattan drinker. Given I was alone a seated in the rear on the restaurant in full view of one... More

I am still dreaming about the carrots and the duck was amazing! The service was great and they made every effort to accommodate my GF sensitivity. We will be back! Soon!
