My husband and I decided to dine at Peche during a recent visit to Austin. We are glad we did. Nothing about our experience disappointed. Peche is located in downtown Austin, a convenient walk to most major downtown hotels. We generally like to share appetizers and an entree. It gives us a broader view of the food. Tonight was no... This is a great place to grab cocktails and a bite. They have many unique cocktails such as "death in the afternoon" which is absinthe and champagne. A drink invented by E. Hemingway. The mussels are great, perfectly cooked and flavored.

If you are in Austin and like good food this is the place to go! The duck confit is spectacular, the mac and cheese and the mushroom starters are just out if this world! Service could improve a bit, but overall its a must!

We were referred to Peche for the Absinthe but arrived hungry and decided to sample some items from their “snack” menu and were glad that we did. First we tried the mushroom fritters with herbed sour cream. They were little, soft clouds of succulent mushrooms formed into a ball. They tasted like a really good stuffed mushroom, but the texture... More

We visited from Seattle and toured the sixth street. Went in Peche for afternoon cocktails. We did not interact with the bartenders much but they were friendly and kept a good distance too. Would like to visit during happy hours.

Stopped here before dinner at Swift's Attic. Crowded and noisy, but what else is news on a Saturday night in Austin? All four of our cocktails were fantastic--well served and unusual. Mine, the Manhattan with Fig Foam, was so extraordinary that I've told friends it's a good thing we don't know how to make the fig foam or I'd be... More

Nice atmosphere, but expensive. A place to be seen more than anything. Not for beer drinkers, only beer served was nasty Lone Star. But still a cool place overall.

Had a great time here beginning with the expansive cocktail list. Comfortable vibe and friendly bartenders. Dinner started with some fritters that rocked and the chicken dish rocked. Friends had the burger and were happy with. I spend a lot of time in New Orleans and this was a nice feel bringing the original cocktails menu without the baggage a... More

Not only is the atmosphere amazing (over 100 years old with original brick walls), but the owner was so friendly and accommodating, and the food was delicious. We were celebrating a bachelorette party and we brought our own champagne (was a gift to the bride), which they immediately put on ice for us. We also had a birthday in our... More
