Great atmosphere!

My wife and I wanted to avoid the frat row atmosphere of 6th Street and were looking for a quiet, upscale place. We stopped in Peche based upon a quick glance in the window. The inside has the vibe of a European wine bar and the bartenders were terrific. We enjoyed it very much and would... read more

This establishment is a rarity and well worth a Visit. Absinthe Paradise. If you have never had it This is THE place. We began with two different absinthe cocktails. " Ernest Hemmingway's Death in the Afternoon" and Absinthe prepared the " Traditional way ". Larry comes over to explain the history of absinthe and to answer any questions. Nice touch.... More

We have tried something new every time, and kudos to the brilliant chef! Now the bad news, the bartenders range from fabulous to "you are lucky that I am paying attention to you". Not impressed with the service as a whole, servers are loud when they are not attending people. A real turn off to what could be a very... More

With all my trips to Austin how in the heck have I missed this place? If you are a fan of craft cocktails, go nowhere else. Seriously. I ordered the Manhattan Club. Best ever Manhattan and this is from a serious Manhattan drinker. Given I was alone a seated in the rear on the restaurant in full view of one... More

I am still dreaming about the carrots and the duck was amazing! The service was great and they made every effort to accommodate my GF sensitivity. We will be back! Soon!

We came here on New Year's Eve after all the other bars in the area were insanely packed (as you would imagine). I called peche from another bar at around 10pm and they said they would be able to get us a table even though we were only drinking (we ate elsewhere). Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to be... More

The location and interior is very cozy whether for drinks or dinner. We went for an early dinner with a 2 year old - staff were accommodating but would probably say that it's not a typical place for small kids. The food was delicious and great size portions. Small wine list but what we got was lovely. I will definitely... More

Loved the food! Creative, cutting edge and delicious. Enjoyed the fried pigs ears, home-cured and made charcuterie plate, and the Duck Cassoulet in a cast iron serving dish...Great service and a place you want to return to to try everything else on the menu!

This is my third review for Peche and this time they got it right! In our prior visits we felt we were at a bar that served food. This time we were having dinner and there was a bar in the space. We ordered a pinot grigio with our meal as we had a toscana with our popcorn at the... More
