My first dining experience in Austin did not disappoint! Very flavorful appetizers and salad, we were pleasantly surprised at the generous portion in the salad and appetizer and were full without ordering an entree, both the app and salad were so flavorful and crisp and clean tasting. Perfectly paired dressing and not overdressed salad and spicy and delicious appetizer. We... More

IMO there's not a lot of choices when it comes to seafood in Austin. Perla's has been around for a while and it has a good reputation. Atmosphere is lively, we had the Sea Bass and Halibut with Brussle Sprouts and Lobster Grits on the side. All were very tasty but I probably wouldn't get the grits again (not enough... More

We stopped in and sampled the 4 oyster types from the North East (PE, PA, NA, NB) recommended by our great waiter Brenna. The place was busy but we got our drinks right way and the oysters came soon after. We ate them straight from the shell they were so sweet. We'll be going back for more.

We knew we were staying at Kimber Modern. Equally we knew we would be getting to Perla's. It's not like the food isn't great enough. But this time we went for the Margarita's as well. Mix in a couple of those, great view from the large windows, or the fans on the patio...people watching is fun and outstanding. Perla's is... More

The food at this restaurant is very pricey but it is absolutely amazing. They have oysters from different parts of the country and we tried a couple of different ones. Very fresh. Also tried the lobster sandwich. It was delicious and very fresh, served with shoestring fries. We also had the scallops which were seared on the outside and melted... More

Try the sea bass! It was uniquely flavored and I believe the best item on the menu. Even though it was 100 degrees outdoors when we arrived the "fan mists" helped to cool the area down making the experience enjoyable. I would definitely visit again.

This local favorite has great seafood dishes and other concoctions. Their cocktails are decent and its located right in the middle of south congress st. The only downside is that service can be a bit slow in the sprawling rooms but they were friendly and competent.

This place is fantastic! The service was excellent, atmosphere great, and food was out of this world! All seafood is flown in fresh everyday. The halibut and sea bass dishes were among the best we've had!

Great food, fabulous wine list and stellar service. To top it off they have the most amazing patio. Do yourself a favor and book the patio for brunch. Watch all the hip folk of Austin give lessons in style as you toast a fine looking beard or two. Top off the experience with one of their desserts. Why not?! If... More

I heard that their brunch was amazing, well--maybe I ordered the wrong thing. The tuna melt was too much bread, and not enough of the overcooked tuna. We ate outside and the bees were unreal, more than a little unpleasant. Food was also way too expensive for what you got. Did like the little gratis hush puppies to start.
