Felt like I was at a feast somewhere in the Middle East

Felt like we were in a feast in the middle east! Excellent management!! please read My husband and I went on a Friday evening for the first time to Phara's, We were seated outside in the back where it was open, a lot of actions going on with as many as I would say about 100-people or so, in... read more

Another attribute of AustinTX-USA are it's exponentially numerous non-chain restaurants that thrive on local support and unique identities/structures that are often the result of the owner refusing to tear down a home/kitchen of the initial operation, and then expanding by incorporating the surrounding space. This is Phara's; located on a fairly busy avenue, adjacent to tat shops, head shops, antique/2nd... More

The Mediterranean platter is what you would want to start with, while your Hookah gets prepared!! Meanwhile the BYOB (bring your own booze !!) helps you settle down. Try going on a weekend, the belle dance will astonish you! The food is amazing n is reasonably priced!! Don't miss this place if you are in Austin!! Have fun!!

I went there yesterday hoping to get Middle Eastern dinner late night. I went to Phara's, ordered lamb shawarma and chicken shawarma! They brought frozen Gyro and microwaved it for a minute and gave it to us yuckkk! The pita bread was frozen then microwaved as well!!! As a middle eastern guy, I know for sure that this isn't middle... More

We went to Phara's last week to listen to Flamenco Symphony. Sitting outside listening to music, sampling desserts, as we had eaten earlier elsewhere, and drinking wine was wonderful. Realizing we were not there for dinner in no way lessened the service we received. The desserts were amazing, and not knowing it is a BYOB restaurant, our waiter recommended a... More

This part of Austin carries the same sultry edge as the East Village in NYC. Parking is a little challenging and the pedestrians even more so as they cross the street willy nilly [perhaps heading over to Forbidden Fruit across the street...]. Phara's large patio hosted a wonderful guitar duo and belly dancer the night I visited, and the proprietor,... More

This place is a true BYOB. I really enjoyed my night at Phara's with friends. The food was very good, excellent Sharma. The best part was the atmosphere though, something about sitting outside a lit courtyard with belly dancing and BYOB gas station booze really made my night. I am very excited to come back when it cools down a... More

This place is great. The owner is very visible when you are dining, they have a wonderful patio, and its BYOB and BYOWine. The portions are big for the price, and you can even get a hooka brought to your table!

As always, I went to the TripAdvisor web page, this time looking for recommendations for a good Greek Restaurant in Austin as my daughter, my wife and I, all love Souvlakis. After a 20 minute drive, we reach there to find out that it is an Arabian (Lebanese) restaurant and not Greek. Souvlaki is not even on the menu !!... More

I visit Phara's every time I visit my son. It is our favorite Meditteranean food place in Austin. It has your typical, quirky, Austin ambience with indoor & outdoor seating. Phara, the owner, belly dances on certain nights. The best part is the food - my favorite is Chicken La Zees and my son loves the Shwarma and Tabbouleh. The... More
