We have shopped at Whole Foods for years, but never in Austin. This one tops them all for eating! Soooo many food stations with offerings in all types of food from all kinds of cultures! Something for everyone! And it is so good and fresh! We ate from the hot self serve bar that offered Indian, Italian, Mediterranean, Cajun, and... More

Good place to go for really good food at a wonderful price. My wife and I were visiting Austin. After a long walk on Town Lake we decided to have dinner at Whole Foods – yes Whole Foods on Lamar. We ate at the fish bar. Service was slow, but I think the servers were new. Fish was cooked to... More

They do not call it Whole paycheck for nothing, but even WF is bowing to competition somewhat and lowering some prices on standard items. I like the take out section when I dont want to sit in a restaurant. Overall the quality of food at WF is good, one star off for prices and propylene glocol in the cheese I... More

There is BBQ, sushi, breakfast, drinks, wines, salads and prepackaged items for sale. We had BBQ brisket and coleslaw which was very good. You can order the brisket lean too. The place was very crowded but the lines moved quickly. Employees here were very helpful and very pleasant too. Have fun, eat, shop and enjoy!

I would have liked to have rated this higher - the breakfast smoothie I got was great- it just took way too long. My husband got breakfast at the taco bar and was done eating before I even got mine!

On a recent visit to Austin, I learned how difficult it is to park downtown. On my own for lunch and really hungry, I hit on the idea of heading to the original Whole Foods. Perfect idea! The food selection is fabulous AND they have underground parking! Free WiFi available and nice places to sit indoors and out.

This store is full of cool stuff. You can get some great coffees and teas, here. Their smoothies and fermented teas are great. The beer selection is outstanding. The baked goods look fantastic but leave something to be desired. I think they try to be too healthy or something. Also, I got an eclair and it certainly was past its... More

If you're a foodie with principles save up for this. I bought fruit (lots) to make up for the beer (lots) that we were drinking. Forlorn hope I know. Amazing fresh produce and places to eat. Glad in a way we don't have one near us in the UK. I'd be permanently broke!

I always love going to whole foods, but this particular store takes the chain to a whole new level. I have never seen a whole foods that has so many freshly prepared foods, or different types of hot bars with "make it your way" selections. They have a taco bar which kind of reminds me of a chipotle, and the... More
