All About The Chips and Queso

Once you get past the awesome chips and queso the food is average at best. Interesting place to visit at Christmas time because of the immense number of lights they put up. Would we go back? Maybe once a year to get our queso fix.

I first ate at Campo Verde in the early 80s and most recently yesterday. Over all of this time, the food hasn't changed. It was good back then and it is good now. The decorations border on being gawdy but they are without equal. For good Tex-Mex, make the trip.

Great place to go especially around Christmas. The decorations are phenomenal. The food is normal Tex Mex that is middle of the road ok. When you add the features of a large model train and the seasonal decorations, it is well worth going to.

We tried combo fajitas for two recently. The chicken was tough and the beef was like beef jerky. Not a happy camper.

What a pleasant surprise it was to return to this great place after so many years and find the food to be as delicious as ever! The eclectic decor and train remain much as we remembered as well as the warm welcome and accommodating wait staff. Our party of five thought the Mexican food choices were plentiful and tasted great.

Campo Verde was a family tradition while living in Arlington in the late 90's. We've been away for 15 years and recently visited to do some spring break shopping. We made it back to Campo Verde and were all pleasantly surprised to A. find it still in operation and B. not much has changed in the way of good food,... More

I eat here every time I come to Arlington and love it. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. Also the chips are sensational. They also host great birthday parties. The best part about the restaurant is the year round decorations. This is a great place and I recommend eating here

Okay Fair warning here---- the restaurant holds a special place in my heart. It makes me feel ALL of the feels. I came here as a child, I remember loving the lights and the garland. Playing the little claw machine, watching the mini train go by. It was my favorite place to eat. It is still on the top of... More

The deep fried tacos are one of the best Mexican dishes around. Rice and beans are fantastic. They serve seasoned chips, salsa and queso upon seating....that can be a meal in itself!! The restaurant is decorated with lots of lights and trains that go around.

We've been coming her for years and absolutely love Campo Verde!!! In fact it is the only place we go for Mexican food! The portions are huge! Well worth the money you pay! And if your not in the mood for mexican food, try the rattlesnake! Yup its on the menu! Or you have the world largest burger! But it's... More
