Oldie but goodie!

The chips are different than most Mexican restaurants. They offer a seasoning on the chips, which is really tasty. The queso is complimentary, too. Had a combo plate with a beef enchilada and small taco salad. Was really good. The atmosphere is what captures your attention. The infinite Christmas... read more

We've been coming her for years and absolutely love Campo Verde!!! In fact it is the only place we go for Mexican food! The portions are huge! Well worth the money you pay! And if your not in the mood for mexican food, try the rattlesnake! Yup its on the menu! Or you have the world largest burger! But it's... More

I love this place! The lights, train. The food was ok. Not very authentic at all. Margarita was decent for a premixed drink.

If you were raised on the food, and have been exposed to the interior from a young age you will be ok. If not, be prepared! The restaurant is very old, full of stuff only the collector of all of this stuff could love. It's a restaurant that, Restaurant Impossible the TV show would pass on fixing up. It's just... More

Returned here recently after a 2 year absence. It was pretty much how I remembered it. Nothing extremely fancy about the food; but it is good and they give you a lot of it. I had the Carne Asada. It was very nicely prepared and extremely tender. My fiancée had the fish tacos. They were large and very well prepared.... More

We go to Campo Verde fairly often, as they serve my husband's favorite beef fajitas. They do not serve my favorite chicken fajitas, but I compromise and tag along for the atmosphere. FYI, he and I always split combo fajitas for one, and we have more than enough food. The food is ok, to me it's nothing spectacular and I've... More

Year-round over the top Christmas lights and decorations, complete with a train running around above your head? Yes please! Lunch specials available any time of day? Nice! Sardonic, quippy server? Sign me up! The food? Ummmm...the floor tortillas were tasty (although the squeeze margarine was a little sketchy) and my tamales were on point. The refried beans were good, almost... More

The choo choo train andbthe christmas lights everywhere was a hit with my toddlers but the food was just okay. I've definitely had better. The bathroom was not clean, there is no room to change a diaper, and the soap was empty. Our table was sticky and one of the chairs were wobbly. Overall, this place seems outdated and dingy

The food is not what you'd expect. It's grossly over-salted.. first bite into the taco, that's all I tasted! Salsa is okay, but complimentary cheese sauce tastes like it's from the can. the chips are way over-seasoned. Other restaurants have way better tasting food for better prices. The atmosphere though is nice. Great for kids with all the Christmas lights.... More

The food is a strangely bland take on Tex Mex. No spice. No heat. Too much salt and lard. The portions are monumental though. One meal gave me enough leftovers for three days. The atmosphere, though, is legendary. There are THOUSANDS of Christmas lights EVERYWHERE. It'sdizzying. There are electric trains, too. Fun for the kiddos.
