Our old hangout

I admit we came here because we used to eat at the old location in the early 90s when we lived in the area. The new location seemed to recall everything of the old - the checked tablecloths, the red booths, the sign that advertises 'steak, baked potato, salad, toast' (the kids got a kick our of... read more

Returned two weeks in a row to have their shrimp fajitas. My husband & I had the dinner for two both weeks and could not finish it either time the portion was so large & filling. Aside from great food they offer a full bar and OH MY… beware of the dessert case you have to walk by went you... More

Food was just OK, service was lacking. Just not like the Candlelight Inn of 20 years ago. What a shame.

We were there for a party. We had about 20 people and one waiter. He was in way over his head. He could not multi-task at all. He brought out one thing at a time and took forever to do it. We had chips for 15 minutes before salsa ever arrived. Drinks were brought so slowly that people started ordering... More

I have been coming to here for years. Was happy when it reopened after it shut down. If possible get a booth and be sure to have a pocket full of coins for the tabletop jukebox.

I grew up in Arlington and came to the Candlelite Inn often. I have now moved to Chicago, and my memories of the Candlelite Inn are strong. My family and I are visiting this week and this was one stop we had to make. It was great to be back. My entire family enjoyed their meal and the guacamole is... More

I used do go to this restaurant for date night (about 35 years ago) I always liked the private booths that were available. I had forgotten about this restaurant until I heard they had remodeled, so I decided I needed to rekindle my youth. It worked! Cute, quaint atmosphere. Be sure and check out the ladies restroom. Wow-beautiful. The food... More

When my sister and I were little we anticipated Candlelite Inn dates with our dad, nestled in one of the dimly lit booths, some of which were almost like their own room! We'd bring quarters for the personal jukeboxes at the table and enjoy cheese enchiladas while feeling like Daddy's special little girl. Fast forward over two decades later...Candlelite Inn... More

Have eaten at the Candlelite since 87 when we moved back to DFW. My parents ate here in the 50's. It is clean now but not that comfy a place. I like it better for lunch than dinner. The TexMex is fine except the rice seems to be from a mix. Enchiladas are good not exceptional and tacos are good.... More

My family has been going to the restaurant since 1961. I regularly enjoyed it up until 2008 when I moved to South Carolina. After I left the closed and has now re-opened. With the exception of a much needed renovation, it is just like it was. My all-time favorite is the italian Steak. Other favorites include spaghetti and the pizzas... More
