I decided to try this place because I was in the Arlington area and wanted to try a local dive and not a chain restaurant. I went on reviews on TripAdvisor and thought this restaurant deserved a try. First off, the parking is horrible. But...that is the worst thing I can say about this quaint place! I was pleasantly greeted... More

My family and I have gone to this place numerous times in the last 15yrs but last nights visit left alot to be desired. As always, the portion of food is good but the fried catfish was undercooked. the normally to die for yeast rolls were cold and hard so we requested another batch. the service was lacking also, they... This is an Arlington landmark, but don't hold too high an expectation because of that. At one time, we really loved this place and out of that devotion we will return occasionally. Our most recent trip left us wanting; while the steak was decent; the service was just flat-out unresponsive--so much so that management gave us 30 % off and... More

This place is owned and operated by family, and service is a priority. The food is reasonably priced, and it is served up hot and freshly cooked. The hand breaded chicken fried steak has a lunch or dinner portion priced accordingly and it had very light breading which had a great flavor. The mashed potatoes were real and with good... More

Been often to this place, it has been there a long time, but it has been a while since last visit. Has some issues with the last couple of visits, but this visit was absolutely a great total dining experience. Friendly welcome, quick and super nice service, ordered the small chicken fried-oh baby-good, and the unique house French dressing on... More

Took the family Friday to Arlington steakhouse for lunch. The food is always great as well as the service and you can't beat the prices

This has been our go to restaurant for a good home cooked meal in the past. We come about 15 miles across town to eat there. We have always received good service before as well as great food. We ordered sweet tea and had to request sugar packs because it was nearly unsweet. We then ordered 2 fried fish plates... More

We had always wondered about this place, and decided to try it. Typical diner food. Chicken fried steak was okay, mashed potatoes were good and green beans were okay. Not a fan of their "yellow chicken" gravy (yes, that's what they called it). Hubby had the hamburger steak. Skimpy on the grilled onions and mushrooms. No beer or alcohol. Red... More

I haven't been to Arlington Steak house in awhile and now I know why!!! Won't be back!!! Chicken Strips not good and not fresh (The Chicken Strips seamed like it was frozen and thrown into the fryer) no flavor, didn't offer gravy for the strips, fried okra hard as a rock and the pinto beans YUCK!!! Only thing worth eating... More

Great, old fashioned chicken fried steak! The full size is about as big as your face and the bread is 'stupid good' as my husband says! The service the night we were there was very good. We've only been once, but we'll go back for sure. This is an old location and the place has an interesting history and story.... More
