Local and fresh ingredients highlighted. Different menu daily, based on available local market. Fabulous food. Small place. Come early or risk missing a taste of everything. It's a "pay what you think it's worth" kind of place. Recent visit, there was slow-braised beef, couscous with fresh herbs and lemon, mushroom and gruyere quiche, roasted root vegetables, and a killer beet and sweet potato soup. Delicious!

Favorite casual cafe in Arlington-delicious!!

This funky and family friendly organic cafe has become my absolutely favorite place for a delicious and nutritious lunch. Never had a bad dish. All fresh, inventive and amazing. Super friendly staff. It's a 60's decor, with a 2015 healthy food focus. You pay what you feel your meal was... read more

The cafe is in a standalone building on the edge of a small, old shopping plaza. It is filled with mis-matched second (or third-) hand furnishings and tableware. The short menu changes daily and is written on a chalk board. On our visit there was a salad, a soup, one entree, maybe 5 sides, and a dessert. You can order... More

The electricity went out when we were there and we did not get to eat. It is a "quaint" place and the staff was nice and apologizing about the electricity going out. I would go back and give them another chance and see what I think when there are no complications.

I was quite pleased to tumble on Potager Cafe. The food was excellent and knowing it is clean food made it that much better. At home we are all about the local and organic food; it is hard to find a place to eat out at that you can find these types of foods. My wife and went and tried... More

This is a difficult review to write because I have eaten at the Potager several times and the food ranges from very good to very bad. The concept is good - a limited menu of healthy, locally grown foods. You can bring your own beverage and then pay what you feel the meal was worth. The menu varies but usually... More

I never leave hungry. Even if the menu seems unappealing, I give each item a whirl, and I've not ever been disappointed. I like a lot of salad and a sliver of quiche (which invariably becomes more salad and another sliver) I buy local and organic for myself, and it does me good to eat that way when I go... More

This is an interesting restaurant that is owned by a local couple, and has "pay what you think its worth" business concept. Each day they prepare a handful of dishes, which are always made using fresh, organic foods, and customers are free to serve themselves as little or as much as they please. After you are done eating, you can... More

This place offers such a fun and different dining experience. Relaxed and welcoming. Loved chatting with the chef, got to taste everything on the menu. Get whatever you want, any size, and seconds! You can tell everything is fresh, the flavors are delicious!

This is not a typical restaurant, it feels more like a B&B or a cafe in Europe. It is owned by a couple who buys local and organic, and they cook a small menu each night from scratch. You go up and they serve you, and you control the portion size. Serve your own water a tea, and take as... More
