My husband and I were in the mood for a new place to try that would make a great date night. After a little search on the Internet, I found Jamaican Gates Caribbean Cuisine just west of Cooper on Arkansas. We've lived here for years, but had no idea this place existed. In fact, they told us they've been here... More

I was a little uncertain when my husband suggested that we have dinner at Jamaica Gates. It is in a building that once housed a Kenny Roger's Roasted Chicken restaurant in a strip shopping center that has seen better days circa 1985. Also, I had never eaten Caribbean food before and did not expect to find anything I really liked.... More

My wife and I are always looking for someplace a little different to eat at, and a cuisine that we normally would not eat. Well, we found it quite a way from our home, but close to our famous Texas 'Cowboys' Stadium, and located in a corner strip mall. When we arrived a little after noon we noticed that it... More

we made a lunch buffet trip at $9.99 plus tip . we were not greeted at the door & the restaurant was not busy. we had to pick our own table & ask for drinks. I liked the grill chicken & the curry.there was not much of selection. two kind of curry/fried fish/ grilled chicken/cabbage steamed/rice/salad. the business is operated... More

My friends and I went after buying a groupon. It took so long to get our drinks I had to convince the guys with us to stay so we could at least use our groupon. We were at the restuarant over 2 hours! It took atleast 20 minutes to get our drink, another 15 before our order was taken, 20... More

Place is ok, could be cleaner and fresher looking, however service is good. We had the beef patty, yum yum, need to eat that more often. The goat curry was slightly too salty, but really nice.

I have been there a few times. Twice for the buffet. Great food and service. I will definitely go every now and then. The whole steamed fish is yummy. Staff is very friendly and hard-worker.

If that night was there best service I would HATE to see there worst. It was not packed but literally took 20-30 minutes to get a drink at the bar. When the D.J. replaced the live band it was extremely hard to get into the groove because he would continue to interrupt EVERY song babbling about who knows what. No... More

We tried Jamaica Gates for the first time, thanks to a coupon we ran across. The restaurant is somewhat small - not sure what used to be there, but it had a drive-thru. The positives: service was very friendly; reggae music in the background was fun and added to the overall feel of the place; food was very tasty, albeit... More

I went with a group of about 20 for a friend's birthday on a Saturday night. We had a reservation (which they said would cost $25). We waited for 20 minutes past our reservation time to sit down and they seemed to have forgotten about the reservation. We waited a very, very long time between ordering drinks and receiving them...
