From having visited here previously, I was not expecting to be impressed. I ordered the "trio" --grilled cheese, soup of the day and salad. The sandwich was tiny, but adequate when combined with the other foods. The dressing on the salad was superb, and the soup (roasted pablano) was worth almost any price. All in all, one of the best... Our party of 6 had dinner on a recent Saturday night. Moderate crowd, bar was busy as you might expect. It was an excellent dining experience with an educated and prompt waiter; and the food was nicely prepared and presented. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Went for Sunday Brunch. First, the place has beautiful décor, an old Texas charm. My wife started with the jalepeno Bloody Mary which had her begging for the recipe, which she got! I had the pulled pork eggs benedict and the wife the crab cake eggs benedict. Both fantastic. Service was superb! A must go if you are in Arlington!

Service was first-class and the brunch menu was great. My wife ordered the spinach bacon frittata and I had the pulled pork Benedict. Both came with a ton of flavor. The frittata was just slightly over-salted but the bacon was likely at fault. The poached eggs on the Benedict were perfect and the cheese grit cakes were a great combo... More

Today was the first time I have been to The Sanford House. I brought my sister which is a bride and we looked around. Our server Mikala took the time to show us around and to show us were we could have a bridal shower. The property is breath taking. Such a beautiful location! After having a tour of the... More

Outstanding service, wonderful atmosphere and great food. I had lunch with two friends and we were seated in a quiet room in the main house. The room is beautifully decorated like a traditional dining room in a great old house. The Sanford house was built in 1996 and looks like a much older mansion, yet modern and bright. The grounds,... I have eaten here twice and can say both were very enjoyable experiences. I went with my son for Mothers' Day and the food and service were superb. Before Christmas, I returned to eat lunch with friends. The Christmas decorations were exquisite. The food was good. However, two of us had the tuna special and it seemed that the serving... More

We went as a group and the service was horrible! There were 14 in our group for lunch and the service was lousy and the food did not taste well at all. What was being passed off as soup (clam chowder), was nothing more than some clams put on a bed pea pods that then had an onion based broth... More

Six of us went for 11:00 am brunch with reservations. We were seated immediately and the waiter made several trips to our table helping with the decisions. Drinks were served soon after, except for one coffee, which was missed somehow. We had the spinach frittata, apple pancakes, western sandwich, steak sunny up, and the special roast duck. There were no... More

We went on a Sunday and had 1:00 reservations. The restaurant is still getting started so we had a room all to ourselves! The food was great...very interesting and delicious! The building was quite charming. Our waiter was AWESOME. He had only been there three weeks and really did a great job! Brunch was VERY reasonably priced.
