Everyone in our family told us to be sure to eat at the Big Fisherman when we went to Port A in June, 2014. I called ahead to see what hours they were open and was glad I did because they are CLOSED!!!

Super yummy! We love to go there! Great seafood and chicken fried steak. Large servings and great prices. Oysters and boiled shrimp cocktail for appetizers always delicious.

Checked on this restaurant in August / September 2013 and found it was closed. Hope it will reopen sometime. In its hay-days, it was very famous. It had a long run. Sad.

This is a local hangout for the morbidly obese. The portions are hugh and everything on the menu is fried to broiled in grease. If you are just looking for a high calorie pig out of fried frozen shrimp or fish - you will like this place. It's cheap that's about all that can be said.

This place has been closed for several months. It was a huge place with a lot of fried food. Building is for sale.

I used to be good. But recently it has become very inconsistent, the service is slow and bad. What ever issues the restaurant is experiencing it is reflected in the service. Too bad I used to really like this place.

A good place to go for plentiful servings of seafood at a decent price and the location is pure "back-in-the-brush-Texas style, which is neat. We've not had bad meals here although we've found better seafood restaurants around Rockport. Still, this would be a good place to go if you are ready for some fried seafood, a cool beer and local... This place is famous for those that know about it. I always believed it was in Rockport but listed as Aransas Pass. You do have to drive through Aransas Pass town to get to it. Ask local directions or use your GPS. It is a big place! Their menu is big too. Just about every lip smaking great Seafood you... More
