I love this place will always eat here. BUT!! when you go when they open at 12:00 and you are maybe the 12 couple there......... While waiting to be seated we viewed the lunch special sign which said "WHOLE FLOUNDER" $18.99 or so etc etc with all of the trimmings. We decided to order that. It was amazing that the... more

There were 6 in our party, several misquitos followed us to our dining table, the table next to us left in a hurry do to the misquitos, we took Cutters bug repellant and used it at the table. Big tourist trap with a big sign on a major highway not far from Corpus Christi. Huge place, lots of seating, but terrible excuse for a seafood restaurant. Granted, I got steak, which may not be their thing, but my husband got a fish and shrimp plate, and it was all godawful. Even my baked potato tasted terrible, and really,... more

Straight up coastal seafood, lots of it fried. Snow birds line up an hour early for the all-u-can-eat cheap specials. Love the fried chicken livers/gizzards ! more

Parking lot was full - good sign, but the fact my wife didn't feel comfortable putting her purse on the floor should have been our first... more

For like 10.00 dollars they give you enough food to feed 2 people. The drinks are poppin and let me tell you, my... more

If you are looking to fill up the bellies of hungry people, this is a good place to go. Nothing is outstanding, but all is good. The potatoes are often cold, but with hot gravy over, it doesn't matter. Occasional cold cooked shrimp are another story. The chicken fried steak and chicken livers and gizzards taste good and are filling.... more

Have gone to many restaurants that "are not as good as they used to be".The Big Fisherman is still so much better than 95 percent of the seafood restaurants. Hell no it's not in Gourmet magazine, but niether are we! more
