We stopped here for dinner one night...my wife had eaten lunch here a day or two before and had raved about it. She was right. I ordered the chicken fried steak and was soon in CFS heaven...not the best I ever had, but good none-the-less. Service was friendly and the prices good.

I have heard so many good things about the Bakery Cafe that i have been wanting to try it for the past couple of months. Finally we went there ... The place was packed. We got a table and about 20 minutes later a waitress took our drink order ... another 30 minutes we got our drinks ... We all... More

Good food and very reasonable prices. This place was recommended to us along with Mickey's. Much better experience here then at Mickeys.

We needed a place to eat & I couldn't seem to find a good restaurant on my phone so I stopped at the Visitor's Center and they recommended three different places. We chose the Bakery Cafe and are glad we did. The food is very good, the homemade rolls are to die for, and the service was excellent. I only... More

Since 1929... We used to frequent a restaurant in Rockport called Klines and have been sad over the years that it's gone. Just up the road, we find the Bakery Cafe, an old fashioned diner, and the same, down home cooking, fresh and hot, and the best fluffy biscuits I've had in a long time. We will definitely be back... It took us a while to try this place simply because of the name. Bakery Cafe sounds like it is a Bakery first and foremost, however, it is more a Cafe than a Bakery. The menu is like you are looking at one your mom would have written up if she'd had the time. *Wink* Fried Chicken Livers and Gizzards... More

Country small town atmosphere where waitresses still call ya Hon. Portions are more than enough without raising the price. You would swear your grandmother was back in the kitchen. Anything on the menu would be great but I favor the breakfast specials.

When you travel, look for places that have that local atmosphere. This place is purely home cooking, not those service restaurants now a days. You can see by the people that go there that it’s all in the family, and it’s great. During our weekend with the family, we tried this place and we all got satisfied from a party... More

I love this place, its the small town feel and great food and atmosphere that makes this place unique. Love coming in the mornings, some pancakes and hot chocolate to start a fantastic day!

This restaurant is home cooking at its best. Yes the breakfast are great and priced right. At noon try anything on their board. The always have chicken fried steak, but they have meat loaf, turkey and dressing, beef stew, fish, crab patties and enchiladas on different days of the week. All of the above are great along with their hamburgers,... More
