It is a fun filled tourist trap! Lot so things to see and do, however the food is disappointing at best. It's expensive and sadly the food is fair at best. I will not go back.

As usual Amarillo wouldn't be the same without a stop at the Big Texan. We did have to wait since we got there about 9pm but once we got to the table our server was on top of things. Quick service for sure! We did use the free limo service from the Amarillo Ranch. Was there within 5 minutes to... More

Heard, read and seen this place on TV. Did not disappoint. Seated upstairs we were well served by a young waitress Megan. Enjoyed watching the spectacle below, more communal seating, waiters holding giant trays above their heads, people gorging their way through vast amounts of food, kitchens at work, singing ole cowboys going around table.Steaks were great, ambience was great,... A great atmosphere, couldn`t do the 72oz but settled for the 20oz instead. We were given a pager while we waited for a table to become available. There`s plenty to spend your money on in the souvenir shop. We had approx 15-20min wait for the pager to call us we were shown to our table (on the balcony) buy a... More

After living in Texas for 30 years and passing through Amarillo I thought I would give this place a try. Upon entering this place looks like a total tourist trap much like a Stuckey's on crack. But this is what people expect when they come to Texas. So why not give it to them and this place does it in... More

The atmosphere here is great, but the food was just ok. Hubby and I shared the Dallas steak, medium, with mashed potato and Mac and cheese. Steak was cooked medium, but had no flavor. I had to pour more salt on it. The sides were just ok too. This is on my ok, been there, done that list and that's... More

Fun place with Western decor, singing cowboy comes around the tables, fun to see if anyone can take on and win the free steak challenge. Entertainment and gift shop.

We sat at the bar. We had the beer sampler. The steaks were delicious. The atmosphere was fun. We've seen the place on several TV shows and it was a fun stop on a road trip.

I ate here for the first time this evening. I had the Porterhouse Steak with Fries and a Salad. The steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it, the fries god and hot, the salad a little chintzy. My waitress did everything she could to make it a nice experience. She was an older woman, not one of the 20... More

Missed this place the first time we came through, glad we didn't on our second visit to Amarillo. From the moment you step off or out of your vehicle it's one big photo opportunity. Very busy inside so expect to wait for a table. You have the choice to eat at the bar or as we did in the dining... More
