A Local's Surprise

We were preparing to head out of town, and looking for a decent place to eat breakfast. We opted to avoid Rudy's because there was something weird about having BBQ that early in the day. We ended up checking the reviews for this place, online. Bear in mind this was 0930 on a Friday morning, on a... read more

Charming old restaurant that has been serving great food for a number of years. It is very busy at breakfast and lunch, so bring your patience with you as you may have to wait, but its worth it.

Recommended by hotel and we were not disappointed. Green Eggs and Ham were great and my wife enjoyed the seniors portion. Lots of food and friendly staff there.

Went in on a Friday morning. Super busy, but they were quick. 20 minute wait. Waitress was right there to take our drink order with coffee pot in hand and fresh cups on the table. She gave us about 5 minutes to decide and came back. We ordered. Food came out about 10 minutes later hot and it was so... More

We found this gem while driving from Utah to Florida. The staff was so friendly and the food was amazing. We had the pancakes, the sirloin burrito and the biscuits and gravy! No wonder they are famous for their pancakes, they were delicious. The sirloin burrito was very fresh and tasty! The bathrooms were a little small but we will... More

Loved the breakfast... I would always order 2 pork chops with eggs and wheat toast. The Pork Chops had a special spice on them that made it great to eat.. know... More

Breakfast was excellent, food all made from scratch. Local filled the entire restaurant. Had to wait but not for long. The scramble I had was so good, sausage, cheese, onions, jalapeños and my wife's pancakes were delicious. Son mentioned it was the best bacon he ever had.

Great friendly service and scrumptious comfort food. A must try next time you want breakfast in Amarillo. A bit off the interstate but worth the drive!

We go here occasionally for a Sat. morning breakfast. There is always a wait line but it moves quickly. Service is fast and efficient. Lots of food for the money. I usually order eggs, sausage and toast. Eggs are cooked to my order ( over medium).
