My Favorite! Breakfast and Great Bacon

What to say! If you like a good ole southern breakfast and you visit Amarillo Youngblood's is hands down the place to visit. So wha tis so special? Bacon. Can you believe the bacon came like I asked, crisp. Not only crisp but the tast was something else. A real smoked flavor that could be... read more

Get the Vicky's burrito:) We went for breakfast on a Friday. Plenty of seating but we were told it gets PACKED for lunch and dinner. Breakfast on the weekends gets busy too.

Highly recommend the chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken if you need a change. Always take the banana pudding if it is available. It is the best ever.

After pulling up and taking our first look, we almost pulled back out. Glad we didn't! This restaurant was very homey and obviously frequented by many locals- a good sign. Wait staff was very friendly and food was pretty good. Hubby had the standard egg breakfast with biscuits and gravy, daughter had chicken fried steak with gravy and a salad.... More

We had driven by this location many times, but had never stopped. We had some friends that suggested it so we met them at the restaurant. It definitely has a neighborhood feel and you could tell many people had eaten there many times because they were greeted by name. You can get breakfast all day, but there is an additional... More

Parking can be a problem for the lunch crowd even though they have a good size lot. I had to park on the street several doors down. When you go in you find a table and seat yourself. This is a very casual atmosphere restaurant with good home cooking. Our service was very attentive and gave us good service. The... More

The food, eh!!!! Go anywhere else. It was just OK. The part worse than the good was the insolent arrogant attitude of the manager I requested to speak to. After a coworker suggested we order the daily special we got online and called it in. I told the person on the phone we looked online and wanted the saily special.... More

Back in Amarillo for a visit and wanted an oustanding breakfast. Only one choice we know of. Always has been Youngbloods. Formerly the Stockyards and they've moved to a great location. Tastefully done in local SW decor. Fantastic breakfasts and if you're up to it a world famous chicken fried steak with the best mashed potatoes you find anywhere. And... More

I've only been here for breakfast but the burritos are big and there is no way to finish half a cup of coffee before it is refilled. The building is easy to find with GPS. The cafe is tucked inside the building.
