Bring Your Appetite

Went here for breakfast on a Friday morning arriving around 9:30 a.m. Somewhat crowded, but that's because the food is so good and only served until 11 a.m., but we were seated quickly. Decided to try from others' reviews. Very nice cowboy atmosphere. Is much larger than appears. I had Vickies burrito which was huge, lots of bacon. But the salsa was delicious and spicy! They should jar it and sell in their gift shop. My husband had a traditional egg, sausage and pancake. We both enjoyed and would go again when passing... More

This was another recommendation given us by the staff at the Marriott Courtyard Downtown Amarillo (see my review if you're looking for a hotel). It's a little off the beaten path but it was interesting to see what Amarillo looks like when you get off of the interstate. Full of guys with big hats and big bellies, this is the... More

Had lived in Amarillo for 15 years and had heard of this place but never went. Now that I live in Wimblerley had to have one of my sons suggest it to go. This is some real hometown cooking. The burgers are off the hook. My wife had the catfish and couldn't say enough. My son had the BLT and... More

Have had breakfast and lunch here. The service is fast and friendly. Great breakfasts with lots of choices. The only lunch I've had here was Chicken Fried steak. It was wonderful but I could have shared it with 2 other people. Nothing fancy but always busy.

This is as close to home cooking as I have had lately! I am always on the road and the food is just ok but never like Younglbood's Café! This is as close to 'home cookin' as you can get from a restaurant! I HIGHLY recommend Youngblood's. Off the beaten path a little but worth the drive!

We ate at the old Stockyard Cafe, after horrible food and service we had cross words with the arrogant manager, Tim. We tried the new location and although the surroundings are better it's still the same bland, over cooked, greasy, truck-stop food. How anyone could eat something like their "famous chicken fried steak" and give it a decent review must... More

Last time we ate lunch here. This time we went for breakfast. It was really good food for a reasonable price. We didn't go away hungry.

It was so good passing through at the beginning of our road trip that we stopped for breakfast again at the end. Perfectly done eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and toast. Good coffee, too. Service is friendly and efficient. Senior breakfast inc coffee is six bucks. Pleasing western theme. Will stop again on next trip.
