Parking can be a problem for the lunch crowd even though they have a good size lot. I had to park on the street several doors down. When you go in you find a table and seat yourself. This is a very casual atmosphere restaurant with good home cooking. Our service was very attentive and gave us good service. The... More

The food, eh!!!! Go anywhere else. It was just OK. The part worse than the good was the insolent arrogant attitude of the manager I requested to speak to. After a coworker suggested we order the daily special we got online and called it in. I told the person on the phone we looked online and wanted the saily special.... More

Back in Amarillo for a visit and wanted an oustanding breakfast. Only one choice we know of. Always has been Youngbloods. Formerly the Stockyards and they've moved to a great location. Tastefully done in local SW decor. Fantastic breakfasts and if you're up to it a world famous chicken fried steak with the best mashed potatoes you find anywhere. And... More

I've only been here for breakfast but the burritos are big and there is no way to finish half a cup of coffee before it is refilled. The building is easy to find with GPS. The cafe is tucked inside the building.

We went for breakfast yesterday. They were so gracious at making substitutes. I requested substituting sliced tomatoes instead of hashbrowns with my eggs. The waitress we had is always pleasant and helpful.

We had lunch and it was good home cooked food. I had the fried chicken and my kids had the chicken fried steak and ribeye steak. My chicken came with green beans and mashed potatoes. All food served with rolls and soup or salad. It was all good and filling. My young adult kids loved everything. This is a place... More

I was on business in Amarillo and try to hit all the local spots. When they mean the Stockyard Cafe it's because the Cafe is at the sale barn/stockyard. It's been a while since I have been there and have heard the restaurant has moved. The breakfast is very filling and you will definitely get plenty to eat.

Youngblood's Stockyard Café has moved from the Stockyards to their own building near downtown. The food is still stellar - my favorites are the chicken fried steak or grilled pork chops with mashed potatoes or hand cut fresh fries. The lunches all come with bread, salad, and dessert. It's a great deal, and the new location has a ton more... More

The place is fantastic! Food is great! My waitress was exceptional. Upon leaving she told me she owned the place. I said, " you mean your Mrs. Youngblood?", she was down to earth friendly, and made me think of my best friends doing the same work. Yes, by the way, it was Mrs. Youngblood. I was so glad id just... The husband and I saw this cafe on "Man Vs Food" on the travel channel (http://www.travelchannel.com/video/amarillos-chicken-fried-steak-11613) The chicken fried was made just like my mom's, not crispy, but tender. What impressed us most was the mashed potatoes! OMG they were HEAVEN! steak, salad or soup, potatoes - was a great price! The gift store was adorable, the bathrooms were clean,... More
