A Breakfast Must

Went here for the second time. Grandchildren love the cinnamon rolls. The breakfast was excellent. Service is great. Always a breakfast must when in town to see family.

Always stop here for breakfast whenever we're staying in Amarillo ... great food, friendly service and a relaxed good feeling ambience - "where the locals come for a great breakfast" :-)

On a stop over in Amarillo TX we couldn't face another free motel "breakfast". We found the names of a couple of local restaurants & happened to find the Calico Co. Restaurant first. Lucky us. We were seated & quickly served coffee with free fresh out of the oven cinnamon rolls. Our meals were comfy large, reasonably priced & delicious.... More

Amarillo was I-40 stopover for us so we wanted to try something new and different. Upon the recommendation of the waiter, all three of ordered the chicken fried steak with different sides. The CFS wasn't large in area but was very thick. The coating and gravy were good but were overwhelmed by the thickness of the CFS. The flavor became... More

Being big fans of the Black Eyed Pea chain, we were looking forward to Calico and it delivered! We thought the veggies were better than the Pea, fresh baked rolls and sweet rolls for dessert. Great quality for the money.

I have eaten many times at Calico County when I pass through or visit Amarillo. The breakfast menu is extensive and each meal is accompanied with a basket of warm and delicious homemade cinnamon rolls. The lunch menu at large also, and one can choose a smaller portion of the regular menu entrée. I would definitely recommend the meat loaf.... More
