We stopped here based on a recommendation from a friend. We were not disappointed. This is not your typical TexMex spot. It is more authentic to Mexico. My Shrimp ala Mexicana was seasoned with just the right amount of heat. Lettuce, tomato, avocado salad was fresh and crisp. My wife did not care for the white cheese on her enchiladas... More

Got a recommendation from a local for this place and was not disappointed. The Mexican where I'm from is hit or miss, and this place was great. Had 3 enchiladas and, of course, started with the chips and salsa (great salsa). I think there are two of these restaurants in Amarillo. Skip the more famous chain restaurants and give this... More

Here's the deal: there are 2 locations. One is Near western st, which is more "mainstream", and the other is near Grand Ave, which is more authentic. Both are good, but the one more East of town has hotter salsa and is more of a "hole in the wall." The menus are pretty much the same. The staff is nice... More

They had just reopened from remodeling and we were looking forward to a good Mexican meal. However, we were a little disappointed. I had the Chicken Enchilada Rancheros $9 which was just fair, my spouse had the Fish Tacos $10 and there was so little fish on them that you couldn't hardly taste the fish. The restaurant inside looked nice... More

Been here before a couple times. Nice and clean. Remodeled. Excellent service. Food was good but chili just a little oily. Modest prices and good sized portions. Hot sauce could be a little hotter. Queso was very good. Gorditas good. Carne guizada (beef with red chili) was enjoyable. Rice a lil dry.

What, decent vegetarian Mexcian food in Amarillo! What a pleasant surprise to find this authentic interior Mexican restaurant along I40. HIM: Of course I had cheese enchiladas, the standard by which I think a Mexican restaurant should always be judged. To my pleasant suprise they were made with corn tortillas, stuffed with queso fresco and covered with a red pasilla... More

We were out running errands and wanted a Mexican Lunch and had heard about this restaurant from our Niece. So we stopped and had a very good light lunch. I had the Beef Tacos and my spouse had the Fish Tacos. Both were very good. We ate A la Carte so did not have the extra beans/rice. We did have... More

This isn't Tex-Mex people...its real Mexican Food...and its really good! This is one of the best places in Amarillo! I absolutely love everything on the menu, the staff, the drinks, the Anything...but mostly really...the unique-ness of the food in the place. There's lots of Tex-Mex in Amarillo, Tx...but this place is different. Try it...you will love it and you will... More

The atmosphere is really neat. Its got a neat bar, and its themed like a small mexican adobe building. The staff was friendly. We weren't super impressed with the food. Not that it wasn't good, it just wasn't anything to rave about. My husband was weirded out by the lack of cheese on my tacos and his burritos. We wished... More
