A haven for those looking for the big city touch

Being from a large city, I am accustom to restaurant diversity- something a little lacking in Amarillo. However, this is continental fare by an excellent chef, wonderful wine and for a very fair price. Service is also impressive. A family outing for a special holiday dinner. 6 including 2 kids. No child menu but they worked with us and split the chicken and presented two smaller portions with sauce on the side. I had the delicious elk with risotto and wonderful mixed veggies. I shared the elk, all thought it wonderful. Others had duck (very good), dbl bone... More

We always go at lunch. The food is reasonable and awesome and always fresh. The restaurant serves gourmet meals in the evening and it is very expensive. If also takes a long time to get your food in the evening. Located downtown Amarillo.

Pre-birthday celebration with family. Everything was first rate. Service was prompt and not intrusive. Salads were fine although a little small. Entrees were well prepared and sides were good. Extremely happy with the whole experience. Would say that they have a limited menu prepared well. Bar drinks not excessively priced and good.

This is a little hidden gem the staff at the nearby Marriott Courtyard Downtown Amarillo gave us (see my review of the Courtyard if you're looking at hotels too) that is farm to table style along with a great wine selection. My husband had the "Airline Fried Chicken" (a chicken breast with one wing LOL) and I had a seafood... More

OHMS Cafe on Tyler Street in Amarillo is so good it will make you want to leave home. The original owner was a Brit, so OHMS means, naturally, "On Her Majesty's Service." And her majesty would feel right at home here. Each menu offering lists a recommended wine choice, and all that I have tried have been superb. The appetizer... More

The boyfriend and I went for a celebration dinner after being told they had one of the best ribeyes in Amarillo... Wrong. We both ended up feeling sick to our stomach all night and the next day. The ribeye was mediocre and the corn "sauce" they put on top of it is terrible. Why would you need to smother a... More

Great menu. Full of meat. Choose from among elk tenderloin, rib eye with chipotle sauce, pork tenderloin, duck, beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce, etc.; also great salads. Pear salad especially good. Free parking helpful as location is downtown. Good place to come if willing to splurge, but perhaps not for typical travelers unless in town for business. Average entree is... More

Have eaten here many times and love the entire experience. Tonight not happy. Our grown kids bought $25 gift certicates through a school fundraiser. We had reservations tonight and planned to use one of the certicates. We were told they no longer took these even though No Expiration was printed in bold on the certicates. Too much great food in... .... the food has always been good... but even a good thing gets old after a while so refreshing the menu was a nice touch! The Elk Tenderloin remans the same and is in my opinion still the best dish on the menu! Keep up the great consistent service and menu offerings!
