Authentic and Delicious!

We happened upon Tacos Garcia on the way to Ruidoso. We stopped again on our way home. My husband had the Puerco de Chile Verde and the Barbacoa. He loved both. Servings were ample, spicy, and hot. I had fajitas both times. Loved them because they come with grilled sweet red onions and NO green... read more

We used to live in Amarillo and this was one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I insisted that we eat here as it had been a few years since we were last there. I always have their signature dish which is Tacos, rice and beans. Excellent! Love their hot sauce and chips. Service wasn't that great this time. It was... More

We took our whole family for dinner last week ...the flavor was good I had the fish tacos but they consisted just fish and a shell there was no cheese or vegetables added so they were pretty plain. The taste was good it just would've been nice to of had some lettuce tomato and cheese added to it. Are other... More

The restaurant was very easy to find and very welcoming. The service was friendly, fast and pleasant. I was very pleased with the quality and porpotion of food. The variety of salsas were very nice and the chips were freshly made. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area or just passing by. Great find!

Tacos Garcia is a charming & relaxing casual restaurant & bar with excellent food. The tasteful rustic decor gives a warm & inviting feel from the outdoor dining area thru all 3 dining rooms & bar inside. Read the reviews here and decided to go based on a rec from the hotel I stayed at. I was surprised at the number of people that thought the food was not authentic. I found several authentic options on the menu and gave the Puerco Chile Verde a try. Delish! If you want something authentic then try something authentic (ie...... More

We drive I-40 through this area quite a bit and usually try to stop at Tacos Garcia. It’s easy on/off I-40 with ample parking. Once inside you’ll find you have to wait (usually not a very long time and I’d say it’s worth it). Once seated, the salsa (three ‘flavors’: mild, hot, and reallllly hot) and chips are furnished. The... More

My family likes to eat out every once in a while and the favorite place to go is Tacos Garcia. For over 20 years we have enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, and the great staff. Please take an opportunity and go to our favorite place. You will not be disappointed.

We eat here each time we come to town. It is authentic Mexican as you find it in the Panhandle. After all, you have to serve what the customers will eat. The queso and hot sauces are good all worth trying. A varied menu gives our entire party a selection each person likes. The service and food are consistently good.... More

Ordered the fish tacos...arrived dry without sauce or dressing? Tasted somewhat leftover. A green rice was served alongside w/ shredded lettuce and diced tomato. The Chili con Queso w/ ground meat was just that. Melted American with some hamburger dumped on top. I added salsa for flavor...Huuuummmmm. Not impressed at this point. My sister's experience was better, She ordered outside... More
