Great place to eat. Really consistent dining experience every time. I love their prime rib on Thursday nights, but go early they sell out quick.

We've eaten at Abuelo's in Amarillo on a few occasions and every time we've been there it's been a great experience! Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere! I highly recommend trying the green (tomatillo) salsa and chips - it's actually quite refreshing. For dinner, you cannot go wrong with enchiladas and their signature side, "Papas con Chile", which is essentially... More

My husband does not agree with me, but I thought the food was just ok. My first impression was not a good one either - the table we were showed to was filthy - there were smashed corn chips all over the floor and under the table and one of the seats in the booth was covered in liquid. I... More

Yup...when it comes to Tex-Mex...this is the world champion! Abuelo's are awesome! Great food, every single thing on the menu is amazing! This is what all other Tex-Mex joints in the world are compared to! High quality, great taste, and always a great bar selection too! Hands down, the Standard all over the country for what a Tex-Mex place should... More

Looked for the best tex mex for father's day and found it. Our party was raised on southwestern fare and proclaimed this the best they have had!!! The next day they were wistful that no other mexican restaurant will now measure up. We will always stop here when traveling thru amarillo. Super hot plates, gorgeous presentation, beautiful interior decor with... More

This a very nice Mexican Restaurant which we will return to sometime in the future. There is plenty of free parking in front. Our waiter provided us with good service and we enjoyed the food. Although even thought it was good we have had better in Amarillo.

We stopped by here for dinner as we were passing through Amarillo. What a tasty and beautifully presented meal!!!!!! Jasmine O. was an informed and attentive server, and we appreciated the manager, John, stopping by our table to welcome us. If you are in Amarillo, it is worth your time to stop and enjoy.

We ate here twice over a long weekend trip to Palo Duro. They have traditional tex mex as well as some food that the owner grew up eating in a traditional home. Both times the waitstaff was very attentive. The second time we ate there, they said it would take a little more time for our appetizer so we decided... More

We ate here on a trip thru Amarillo. Pretty good food. Portions were average, staff very helpful, prices average. I ordered the carnitas taco plate. Meat was good, not overly generous portions, heavy on the rice and refried beans. A nice place to have a decent meal.
