Very good selection, service and atomosphere

This is not a mom & pop restaurant. We were told it is a chain of about 40 restaurants owned by a man who cares about the quality of food and service. This was our second visit to this restaurant, excellent both times. Very nice atmosphere, friendly service. Quality Mexican food, three different salsa's and chips served on arrival to table, my favorite was the green with pineapple in it. Skinny margarita was very good, usually I don't like the light ones. I had the beef enchiladas with rice and beans, it... More

We usually eat at the Abuelo's in Abilene, Tx. I was really surprised that a chain type restaurant wouldn't be exactly the same across the board. Not even close to the one in Abilene.

On our vacation we stopped here for dinner one night. Our waitress had just started working there a week prior let me tell you hands down the BEST wait staff I've ever encountered, she was awesome! She knew the menu and made recommendations. Food was wonderful and the manager came over to make sure everything was just fine which I... More

Abuelo's is typically consistent with the food and service. A few months ago they seemed to be cutting back on some things like less cheese on the nacho's. That trend seems to have changed. The food is very good and portions very nice. I like the idea of having several options for sides, but you have to be aware or... More

Any time we're in Amarillo, this is the first place my wife says that's where she wants to eat. Great service, great food, never had a bad experience there. Even though it's part of a chain, it's like a one of a kind place.

We were returning from Cadillac Ranch and we were excited to go to Abuelos's because we thought it was another restaurant we used to go to in AZ. We loved the statue out front and the inside decor with colourful murals and the fountain we were seated next to. We finally figured out we were thinking of another restaurant while... More

We were there during Sunday lunch rush. we were impressed by friendly & efficient staff. We chose to sit in bar with TV and had great service. Chips are served hot with 3 salsas.

I regularly eat here as well as the abuelos in Lubbock. I think this location is more consistent. Both are good but I have seen "off days" in Lubbock.
