Sorry to say, as a local, I cannot afford to eat at Tyler's as often. I usually do take-out - a pound and a half of brisket and two sides, once every 2 weeks or so. My family looked forward to it because it truly is one of the top BBQ places in Amarillo. When my bill was over $50,... More

There are so many choices for barbecue in Texas - a lot of it becomes generic. Not so at Tyler's. They have a special blend of smoke and spice - the ribs are amazing. Count yourself lucky if you get there before the pulled pork runs out.

There was a line out the door the whole time we were there. Very tender, great tasting brisket. We also had the hot links and the Frito pile, an interesting version of the Frito pie, with chopped beef, chopped hot link, beans and cheese. It was very good.

Forget Franklins in Austin. This place is home to succulent meats from brisket to pork to chicken and all done to perfection with just the right amount of smoky flavor without drying the meat. Sides are just as mouth watering as the main course. This one is worth the trip and really not that long of a wait either

Tyler's has the best ribs in Texas! Brisket and sausage are very good too. If they have green chile stew, be sure and try that as well. Kind of a strange side dish for BBQ, but it's worth it!

This restaurant is one of the best barbecue stops in the Texas panhandle. Now if you a taste for spicy beans this is the place to come to. The food in general was excellent. The price was family friendly.

The brisket and sausage were both excellent--some of the best bbq brisket I've ever had (and I've had a LOT). We were there a 6:30 and there was only enough bbq for 2 more servings that night--they close when they run out. Several people were turned away who came too late.

Tyler's was our first stop on a long BBQ "crawl" from Texas through the American Southeast. My wife and I could not have been happier with the food and the service. We're BBQ fans, and Tyler's mesquite-smoked meats (we had brisket and ribs) were very special. The texture was perfect, and the smoke was subtle. The staff, including Tyler himself,... More

This is more of a fast food bbq place. Decent bbq for the price. Not much sitting room. Lucky to get a table just before lunch crowd. Portions are large enough. Have a to go drive up window.

Very Good BBQ - tried the ribs, brisket and jalapeno smoked sausage. Left that place ready to go back again but had to leave the next morning!
