I have eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times. I only tried the brisket and it was good but not the best I have had. The mac and cheese was out one time I went and the second time I went I tried it but it was not gooey enough. I will go back.

Ive eaten at half a dozen of the so called best que joints in this state and the only one that comes close is Franklin in Austin. If you're driving through Amarillo eat here. Bottom Line.

Tyler, you make awesome food! My husband and I just recently moved to the central side of Amarillo. We ate here for the third time this evening. Amazing. Best smoked brisket I have ever tasted! My husband always gets the Rib Special. Fills him up. Their jalapeño cheddar sausage is to die for. I have never been disappointed. They make... More

I loved the BBQ here, very very good. The folks were very friendly and service was attentive. Good honest BBQ the way it should be. Pro tip - buy a 6 pack of beer and BYOB, they don't sell alcohol.

This little place is right off interstate 40. It was a small place and the layout was bad—the trash can (you bus your own table) is in the same 8 square feet as the condiment location and the food and bathroom lines. Everyone is vying for the exact same place. However, the BBQ was very good. We had both the... More

This place is obviously very popular with the locals, winning many awards. The meat is cooked right, nice and moist, very tender. My gripe is there isnt much flavor until you add sauce. Texas BBQ used to be known as not needing sauce because of the flavor that was achieved during cooking. That being said it is good and their... More

Driving through Amarillo on our way back to Wisconsin from our trip out West, we wanted to experience a restaurant with a true Texas feel with some good BBQ and this place is exactly what we were looking for! The beef brisket and pulled pork sandwiches are super and the hot BBQ sauce was awesome! The coleslaw and baked beans... More

They always have great barbecue. My favorite is the brisket or the ribs. I do wish they had more side choices but the barbecue is great!!!!

This is Amarillo, Texas and the fact is, there is no shortage of good BBQ joints in town. That being said, you gotta try them all. The brisket was good, although it was a little sweet for me. The rub tasted like it had a lot of sugar in it. I eat my meat with no sauce on it so... More

Recently travelled cross-country for a beach trip and on the way back to Arizona, we stopped at Tyler's in Amarillo. Our experience lived up to the other trip advisor comments. The Barbecue was delicious. Had the brisket, ribs and sausage and everything was great. Will make more stops anytime we are in Amarillo.
