Recently travelled cross-country for a beach trip and on the way back to Arizona, we stopped at Tyler's in Amarillo. Our experience lived up to the other trip advisor comments. The Barbecue was delicious. Had the brisket, ribs and sausage and everything was great. Will make more stops anytime we are in Amarillo.

We arrived about 5:00 in the afternoon. Four people behind the counter and we stood like a couple of dummies for at least five minutes before being acknowledged. Briscuit was dry as a bone, chicken dry and stringy and ribs were cold and greasy. Peach Cobbler phenomenal, some of the best I have ever had.

We went right at the height of lunch hour and it was crowded, but we still quickly got our food. You go through the line, order, get your food and drink, then seat yourself. They believe in, I believe one of the employees called it the "get to know your neighbor" approach to seating. You may find yourself sharing a... More

Had to try some Texas BBQ while in Amarillo. This place lived up to its rating. The brisket nearly melts in your mouth. The BBQ chicken and the homemade sauce were also the best. Get there early before they run out of meats!

I had heard from the locals and a few sites about this place. Upon arrival I was excited to try Tyler's. I ordered the ribs and my workmate ordered ribs and brisket. While tender, the ribs lacked bark and flavor, fully expected of good BBQ. The sauce was just OK to me. I really don't understand all the hype.

We had 11 people with us including 3 children and a baby. We could not sit together as there is limited seating. That was not a big deal as the food was great. The brisket didn't have any fat, ribs were great, chicken off the bone was delicious and a hit for the kids. The peach cobbler was one of... More

We stopped in here on our way from Joplin, MO, to Santa Rosa, NM. We wanted a local place that served good barbecue and we weren't disappointed. The ribs were tender and flavorful, The brisket was nice and tender. This is a no-frills place where the food is the main attraction. There was a steady stream of customers as we... More

We attempted to stop at Tyler's on a long road trip but missed the exit on our way to our destination. However, on the way back, we easily found the barbeque joint. It was worth the wait to eat the delicious brisket, sauce, and sides offered at Tyler's. I wish we had such a good barbeque restaurant in my area.... More

Stopped in while driving from OKC to ABQ. All the reviews said it was delicious, so figured it was worth a try... boy, they were right! Super tender, fall apart and melt in your mouth brisket, and yum yum yummy sausage (try the jalapeño cheddar). Down right delicious BBQ at reasonable prices... don't miss this one! No frills, just good... More
