Real Texas Barbecue

we had a hard time finding Tyler's but it was worth the effort. We had a really good brisket sandwich with cole slaw and potato salad. Real Texas barbecue with not too spicy sauce. Visited here when doing an overnight stop across the road at the Travelodge. Real nice warm welcome from the owner. Had a couple of the pulled pork sandwiches, loved them, very nicely cooked, and good value. Will be back here later this year and looking forward to another dinner here. Gets my vote anytime.

We had the BBQ Sandwich specials for lunch. They were good and we enjoyed them very much. The place is small, but we were able to find a table. We got there right before the lunch crowd.

Brisket was dry, ribs were average, sides were average. I've heard good things about this place but after visiting for my third time, I still haven't had anything great. I've still never had their green chile Mac and Cheese though.

Tyler's has all-around fantastic BBQ but their ribs are absolutely divine! never tough, but tender and succulent. When I'm in the mood for BBQ, Tyler's is the place I want to go! However, if going for an evening meal, get there early. They often sell out before traditional dinnertime. That should tell you how spectacular the food is!

I know what good bbq is, I eat it and rate it everywhere I go, sort of a hobby, plus I cook my own.Tyler's was above average. brisket had a good crust on it and the ribs were tender but the meat wasn't falling off the bone. Service was friendly and the place was very clean. Very crowded, get there... More

Ribs and sausage were excellent as well as the sides. Perfect location, though small. Relative sad it used to be a Long Silvers. Get there early before they run out of ribs as they are the star of the restaurant. Highly recommend!

Excellent pit smoked barbecue and probably the best version in Amarillo. Lunch is busy and usually a line so go early, if not, worth the wait. This is typical beef based or brisket based barbecue and it is good. I have not tried the ribs as I usually stop at the sliced brisket. very good sides made from scratch.

we stopped here in hopes of trying an authentic texan BBQ. As one in our group only eats chicken we had to leave, but not much selection on the menu even in terms of meats. The restaurant smells real smokey anyhow and not sure it is a good smell to "wear" the rest of the day.
