I cannot imagine this being the best BBQ in Amarillo. Brisket was dry, hot sausage was bland and ribs where not much better than competitor down the street. We will not be back

Small restaurant but big taste. We discovered this gem while on a recent trip to Amarillo. The brisket, chicken and sausage were all excellent. Each meal was served with a choice of sides. Of the sides our group ate, all were good with the potato salad, beans and green chili stew were outstanding. I will definitely return the next time... More

Best BBQ in town - maybe the best BBQ in the US! The food was perfect. The price was perfect. The staff was perfect! Everything was perfect! I only regret that I discovered it on my last day in Amarillo.

On a recent trip to Santa Fe, we stopped in at Tyler's BBQ both coming & going. On the way out, both my wife & I had pulled pork sandwiches, which were good. On the way back, my wife had ribs, which were good, and I had the sliced brisket. This was some of the best brisket I ever ate,... More

We love barbecue!!! We have eaten at countless barbecue places, but none as good as Tyler's. Tyler's is a little place and very busy so sometimes it's hard to find a seat, but the wait is well worth it. Along with amazing BBQ, they serve the most amazing peach cobbler and on Thursdays they have Mac and cheese that would... More

We were on a cross country jaunt and scheduled our lunch stop here due to the great reviews. I must admit that while I am a foodie, I am a novice when it comes to Texas BBQ. We just had to try the sliced brisket and ribs which were delicious and wonderfully smoky without being overpowering. The sauce was great... More

I had to make an unplanned, round-trip drive from Denver to Dallas for my business... I had one stop over night in Amarillo and was lucky enough to book a hotel a few miles down the road from Tyler's Barbecue... I am a self-admitted barbecue addict. i prefer barbecue to just about anything and I have had it from the... More

I am not a barbeque aficionado, but my husband, a Texas by birth, is. We have both eaten at this restaurant and it gets 5 stars from both of us. The barbeque (I tried the brisket and chicken) is authentic and not too smoky tasting, the sauces are good, the sides are homemade and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable.

I tagged along with my husband to pick up a vintage motorcycle today. We live in a food desert but are native Houstonians. I jumped at the chance to get to come eat some TX FOOD. The brisket was delicious and the sauces were extra tasty. The jalapeño cheese sausage was everything. We had the potato salad and the beans---I... More
