Hoffbrau Steaks was Voted "one of Dallas' Best Chicken Fried Steak" by D Magazine. We are a family owned steak house, rustic and casual with a unique Texas atmosphere. We serve USDA aged Choice Beef and a wide-ranging menu of chicken, quail, ribs, seafood, salads and burgers. Daily lunch specials are delicious and affordable. Large TV's around the restaurant are perfect for watching sports. Come sample a brew of our extensive list of local, national and international beers as well as our full service bar. We are happy to cater weddings, birthdays and office parties. Whether you are looking to feed a quiet 15 or a rowdy 50, we love to throw a celebration and we're great at it! Our unique Amarillo restaurant has not one, but two private dining areas, and we're experts at comfortable Texas casual! Group menus can be designed for your needs and budget. Book your next event with us. As you come to visit Amarillo or ride through our town, remember that Amarillo is home to the famous American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum and the Amarillo Sox (baseball). The beautiful Palo Duro Canyon State Park is 2 step away. Early to-mid 1800's German settlers, who helped develop the Hill Country of South Texas, also recreated their beloved "hoffbraus"or "beer gardens" where local townspeople, farmers and ranchers gathered to enjoy hearty meals and brewed beverages in a setting that was naturally casual yet humming with conversations and warm friendly service. What began as a "Hoffbrau" in South Texas truly was the origin of the Texas Hill Country Steakhouse... A tradition that our family has continued since opening Hoffbrau Steaks in 1978.Enjoy yourselves, our Texas hospitality... The great steaks and foods for which we are known. Many thanks,The Fogiel Family

Decent meal with very good service

Read on here that this was one of the best restaurants in Amarillo, TX so I decided to try it out. The service was very good. The ribeye was slightly better than average. The spicey black eyed peas were great. Unfortunately, they were out of their famous candied bacon...maybe next time.

I was craving steak after a long drive and before crossing the Texas state line. The reviews of this place were good. It's definitely casual dining. The service by a teen waitress was apathetic and mechanical, typical of the area. The food was average for what you'd expect in the panhandle. The salad obviously came from a bag. The appetizer... This restaurant is new....tv's everywhere....but no beer! They are waiting for their liquor license. We thought it was a German restaurant with the name...not German and no beer!! The place is huge! I think with their liquor license they will do really well. The food was good and they had quite a selection on their menu.

Dear Rita, We are a bit confused with your feedback as we have been in Amarillo for years and do have a liquor license and serve many different beers. Rainey Fogiel More

Went here for my husband's birthday. The service was excellent and the food was good as well! A great place to get a steak or ribs. They also offer a gluten free menu which is nice for those who can't have it! We will definitely be returning : )

There was a wait for a table, so we took seats at the bar and then enjoyed visiting with two other couples. Food was very good and the sweet tea is the best!

I'd go back, or visit another of their several Texas locations. Our meal proved about what one would expect in a Texas roadhouse restaurant.

Too much fat, some gristle on the ribeye, and what's with the pepper added? Terrific okra, good green tomatoes. Good rolls, excellent service. Steak fries good, filet medallions dry and peppered, shrimp over cooked.
