Hoffbrau Steaks was Voted "one of Dallas' Best Chicken Fried Steak" by D Magazine. We are a family owned steak house, rustic and casual with a unique Texas atmosphere. We serve USDA aged Choice Beef and a wide-ranging menu of chicken, quail, ribs, seafood, salads and burgers. Daily lunch specials are delicious and affordable. Large TV's around the restaurant are perfect for watching sports. Come sample a brew of our extensive list of local, national and international beers as well as our full service bar. We are happy to cater weddings, birthdays and office parties. Whether you are looking to feed a quiet 15 or a rowdy 50, we love to throw a celebration and we're great at it! Our unique Amarillo restaurant has not one, but two private dining areas, and we're experts at comfortable Texas casual! Group menus can be designed for your needs and budget. Book your next event with us. As you come to visit Amarillo or ride through our town, remember that Amarillo is home to the famous American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum and the Amarillo Sox (baseball). The beautiful Palo Duro Canyon State Park is 2 step away. Early to-mid 1800's German settlers, who helped develop the Hill Country of South Texas, also recreated their beloved "hoffbraus"or "beer gardens" where local townspeople, farmers and ranchers gathered to enjoy hearty meals and brewed beverages in a setting that was naturally casual yet humming with conversations and warm friendly service. What began as a "Hoffbrau" in South Texas truly was the origin of the Texas Hill Country Steakhouse... A tradition that our family has continued since opening Hoffbrau Steaks in 1978.Enjoy yourselves, our Texas hospitality... The great steaks and foods for which we are known. Many thanks,The Fogiel Family

We had a great time at Hofbrau. We were visiting from out of town and wanted a Texas BBQ/ steakhouse experience that was not a chain. We learned it was family owned and had a great experience there. The service was SUPER quick. Food hit the table lighting fast, drinks poured well. They have a cream ale that was very... More

We stopped here because the parking lot was full of Texas tags, so we decided it must be ok. We don't eat red meat often, so we splurged on the filet. I had my medium rare, my husband had medium well. Both were cooked exactly as we wanted and were tender, flavorful, and delicious. We also enjoyed the roasted corn... More

Nice dinner. Food was good and the service was great. Did not care for the hickory smoked steak, like mesquite smoked better. That's only an individual preference, nothing against the restaurant.

I ordered the beef tenderloin salad. Tenderloin was cooked to my specifications and the salad was excellent. My mother ordered the chicken fried steak which was sadly deep-fried as opposed to pan-fried. To each his own, I suppose. Overall, the service was excellent and I really enjoyed my Prickly Pear Margarita!

My last two trips to Amarillo I have been let down by the Big Texan. We wanted a steak, but were looking for something different. It was an easy walk to the Hoffbrau from our hotel. The food was good, quickly delivered and there was a good menu for two picky boys. The prices are reasonable and service was fast... More

The name is way off ! More like Texas Roadhouse - food was jus ok - had filets that had to be sent back - med-rare was raw. Service slow - at least the meat tasted good
