Has been a must-do for many years when visiting Alpine. Would eat here several times each trip. Price has changed that . We will enjoy the food once each trip. Our Alpine friends agree-- too pricey. We come from central Texas to enjoy west Texas food and friendliness. We do not enjoy urban/suburban prices here.

A bit out of the way but worth the trip. It was recommended by locals and they were right. We enjoyed the chalupas (they head a different name) and the enchiladas. Only disappointment was the sopapillas which were small and flat; we're used to big and fluffy. Cash only, like many places in Alpine.l

Arrived and seated myself. Service was quick, Chips and salsa we served and order of Red enchiladas with rice and beans. For my taste the enchiladas were very BLAND. Even with the extra hot sauce I added I couldn't get them hot enough for me. Just rather bland.....it needed more taste or something.

We had lunch here 9/3/2014, as it was recommended by a friend who has been eating here for years when in Alpine. It was quite crowded, clearly a favorite lunch spot to many. We were promptly served with drinks, chips & salsa! The salsa was some of the best I've had, and I've had a TON! The food was served... More

We visited here based on tripadvisor reviews. We received prompt service as far as beverages and receiving our food. And the food, holy cow! That was a lot of food! My daughter had the kid's enchilada plate and was very pleased with it. My husband had the beef fajitas. He is a big eater and couldn't finish his plate. I... More

We arrived and seated ourselves, then after a 10 minute wait, our waitress brought a bowl of Salsa with no Chips, when I ask for the Chips she said they had none. I guess they didn't have any just for us, since all the tables around us who I assume were locals all had baskets of Chips. I ask for... More

Great tasting food and plenty of it. My wife and I actually split a combo plate and had more than enough to eat. The chips and salsa also hit the spot. Located off the beaten path in a neighborhood.

Great little Tex Mex restaurant . Lots of local customers. Service was very fast. Food was excellent. My personal taste was it was a tad too spicy but very tasty. Great value.

This apparently is a local favorite that was highly recommended to us. It is in a rustic building near the center of Alpine. The staff was polite and the service was timely but we didn't find the food to be particularly flavorful. In our opinion true Mexican food is not spicy but is flavorful. In this case we didn't find... More

I'm biased as I grew up visiting Alpine and have been eating at La Casita for years. But it really is great authentic Mexican food. Fast, friendly service and great prices. Family friendly with indoor and outdoor seating.
