Mexican Food

This is a small restaurant in an old house in the middle of a neighborhood. It is the locals favorite place to go. The food was made with a tomato base. It was fresh and hot. I'm not a fan of tomato and cheese so it wasn't that impressive to me. The iced tea was awesome! The people were very... read more

And they were right, this is in a house in the middle of a neighbor hood and you would not look for a restaurant here. Be prepared to eat great food that is local and homemade. I will be back.

This place had the best Mexican food there is to be had in Alpine. We love it here. The service is fast. The food is fast. The food is wonderful. The homemade salsa for the chips is out of this world good! Only thing is they only take cash or local check. Bring your money and try this place!

I came to the restaurant with some local friends of mine to grab a quick dinner. Upon arriving (at about 7:45) we were told that the restaurant was closing at 8:30, which I thought was a strange time to close on a Saturday night, and was not a way to greet guests. Having 45 minutes, we ordered our food as... More

My mother passed away a year ago today and this place was her favorite place to eat. My wife and I traveled to Alpine and got with my brother and sister to eat at mom's favorite restaurant and it still is a great place to eat.

Was celebrating a birthday and reserved a table and when we arrived the table was ready for us. The dinner was excellent and services were prompt and pleasant. The wait staff even brought a birthday dessert and sang happy birthday to the table. Very enjoyable dining experience 😋

Went to La Casita based on the reviews. The fajitas were dry and tough. My father-in-law experienced the same thing on his fajita quesadillas. The flour tortillas were also dry and tough. The other food may be better but this "house speciality" was a disappointment.

I had the chese enchilada and beef taco. Best I have ever eaten anywhere. My husband had the deluxe campechanos, full order. Waaayyyy too much food! CASH only. Good iced tea, great service, spicy salsa. Has the feel of a local hangout. Very very good.

This is a small (it's in a small house in a residential neighborhood), restaurant that is crazy crowded most of the time. That's because it is some of the best Tex Mex food around. These folks know their business. The enchiladas are authentic and great: piquant red chile gravy, fresh cheddar cheese, and served piping hot. The refried beans are... More

La Casita is a great little Mexican place for lunch or dinner. The green chile enchiladas and guacamole were terrific. It gets busy at night but worth waiting a few minutes. Cash only, each dish was about $8-$13
