Really good mexican food with reasonable prices. The most expensive item on the menu is $10. I ordered the second most expensive item for $9, 3 enchilladas, 2 chicken tacos, rice and beans. I would try to avoid the lunch and dinner rush. I went about 5pm and there was only one table taken. However at 5:30 it was full. more

I used to live in Alpine and ate here once a week at least. I still literally dream about this place and the taco plate. Sometimes I have nightmares that I go back to visit and can't find the old place. La Casita is the only Mexican restaurant you need to eat at in Alpine. more

I have been here a couple of times in my trips to Alpine, and the food here is nothing fancy, just good tex-mex. The place is small as it is in an old house. It is one of our favorite places to eat while we are in Alpine, because it is solid. You know what you are going to get.... more

This is it folk's- the true-blue Tex-Mex dining experience. Expect formica tables, cold beer, chips and homemade salsa and any of a dozen Tex-Mex platters. No frills here -but a nice homey, casual place to feed your tex-mex addiction. We loved it and plan on making this our Alpine Texas tradition. more
