We arrived and seated ourselves, then after a 10 minute wait, our waitress brought a bowl of Salsa with no Chips, when I ask for the Chips she said they had none. I guess they didn't have any just for us, since all the tables around us who I assume were locals all had baskets of Chips. I ask for... More

Great tasting food and plenty of it. My wife and I actually split a combo plate and had more than enough to eat. The chips and salsa also hit the spot. Located off the beaten path in a neighborhood.

Great little Tex Mex restaurant . Lots of local customers. Service was very fast. Food was excellent. My personal taste was it was a tad too spicy but very tasty. Great value.

This apparently is a local favorite that was highly recommended to us. It is in a rustic building near the center of Alpine. The staff was polite and the service was timely but we didn't find the food to be particularly flavorful. In our opinion true Mexican food is not spicy but is flavorful. In this case we didn't find... More

I'm biased as I grew up visiting Alpine and have been eating at La Casita for years. But it really is great authentic Mexican food. Fast, friendly service and great prices. Family friendly with indoor and outdoor seating.

We loved this little hidden secret in Alpine. When we asked for a good place for Mexican food the hotel suggested La Casita and gave us directions. We were not disappointed in anything we tried and as a matter of fact we ate here both evenings we stayed in Alpine and can't wait to come back again. The service was... More

Excellent fajita plate and VERY fast service. They don't stay open very late (even on weekends), but they make up for the hours in speedy and friendly service. Never had a bad meal here yet, and large portions are the norm.

Off the beaten path restaurant, you need to know where it is in order to find but well worth the search. Tacos were fabulous. Service was great and atmosphere reminded me of the Mexican restaurants on the West side of San Antonio in the good old days.

If this were in Key West it'd get raves, here its merely a great little joint. Cash only, very sweet waitress. Very good very fast meal. Guacamole as good as Rosa Mexicana. After lunch we and the teenagers adjourned to the Dairy Queen for a blizzardn old timely joint too.

While staying in alpine over spring break we were recommended to eat here by our hotel receptionist. My family loves Mexican food and this was by far very delicious food. Our queso was something we couldn't stop eating. The cheese is "real" cheese fried. I ate the fajitas plate and those beans were close to what my grandma cooks. Really... More
