Was in town again, and so happy this place is still open! I used to eat here 16 years ago, when living here. It is a total hole in the wall. Very tight, cramped place, but good food. They have great burritos, and breakfast items. We all had their hamburger baskets, and they were very good. The drive thru is... More

Don't let the looks of this resaurant scare you away. Students at the university in town, told us this was THE PLACE to eat. We went for lunch and the food was very good. Service was a bit slow but it seems like a small "mom and pop" place so it didn't surprise us. The burgers are old fashioned and... More

Are one of two (the other being chile rellenos) way we taste test Tex Mex restaurants: they are usually EITHER good or bad. Alicia's we're excellent-- muy Sabroso. Tasty chile- plenty of chicken. Rice and beans. On the other hand, JALIPENOS were just the opposite: could not find any chicken among the non traditional cheese in the enchiladas , though... More

We love the food; we dislike the high prices. Travel to west Texas to enjoy the relaxed pace and friendly people. We do not expect to pay city prices. Overhead in this area does not create higher prices. Owners do. Sorry to be passing on this negative opinion of a much-loved place.

Still looking for the best red beef enchiladas. I FOUND them here. Big portions and the taste makes one want to eat it all even if the portion would feed 4 people. The spice was just right and the heat was wonderful!!!! The service was good but not the best. I was so excited over the TASTE of the food,... More

Amazing Sierra Madre/West Tex/New Mexico style Mexican food. The enchiladas with red chile sauce were fantastic and the burrito with beans and potatoes was great too. I wish we could've gone back for a chile burger platter and some Frito pie.

It doesnt look good from outside but do go inside: Only locals go there, there is a nice Family atmosphere and I had The most amazing burrito in my life!! Really loved the retro decoration too, and the turquoise painted walls at the bar. There is a drive-Inn too if you dont get a table (it is packed). Too bad... More

Having seen the building, had the restaurant not been recommended, I would have avoided it. It is a "Dive" in the positive sense of the word. This is not your typical, big city Tex-Mex. The restaurant is small, the service is friendly and the prices are more than reasonable. I had the green chile plate which was delicious. Another friend... More

This little place made me feel like I had stepped into the smallest of towns in Mexico! Food is very authentic (one customer asked what something was on he menu and she said it's 'nachos'. He asked why it didn't' just say nachos - and she responded - it does, in Spanish!)! Chips were amazing - fresh, not greasy. Salsa... More

The food is good at Alicia's. We ate there more than once on our stay and were quite pleased with our meals. The place is kind of tight-- only booths to sit in, the AC was over-matched by the size of the room and the temps outside but otherwise, it was good.
