My partner and a couple of friends and I recently stayed in Alpine for three days. We discovered this place -- thanks to Trip Advisor -- on our second morning. What a find! It was so good, we headed back the next morning for breakfast. The owner and wait staff are friendly and provide really great service -- no small... More

Food was very good and service was friendly. We stopped in both days we were in town. Cinnamon rolls were great.

We stopped here Sunday morning for breakfast. I ordered the Cowboy Breakfast. The 2 eggs and bacon were fine. The potatoes were under-cooked ones that had been diced and swirled in oil and slapped on the plate. No seasoning and they obviously needed a few more minutes in the skillet. They said they had run out of gravy for the... More

I ate at this locally favored establishment several times during my last visit to Alpine. The breakfasts were consistently good and so was the coffee. The place is very busy in the mornings but I always received quick and friendly service. There are several interesting offerings on the menu...try the eggs Florentine and treat yourself to a giant, freshly-baked cinnamon... More

Friendly atmosphere, buzz of conversation of the local people and some from abroad like me, cute young ladies serving... Fitting just the right Texas, big heavy and ranch style chairs.. Food..? Great!

Traveling through Alpine, we got to Judy's just as it was opening up at 7 a.m. - and entered with many locals - always a good sign. We were pleased with our Cowboy Breakfast and left with a couple of the yummiest cinnamon rolls ever for our morning break down the road. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed a great... More

Alpine has so few breakfast choices, you just may need to eat here, but try to find somewhere else. We went in for breakfast about 10:00 am, with all the empty tables dirty and just two out of 12 tables occupied. Two or three other families arrived right after us, and only one wait staff was present. But she decided... More

Judy's is not our usual breakfast place the 2 or 3 times a year that we visit Alpine but we decided to try something different this year. Food the first morning was great but the second morning was a wreck. My eggs were undercooked but my wife's were over cooked. Grits were inedible. I would return time again if the... More

I had a standard eggs plus breakfast, which was tasty and filling. Service was pleasant but slow and inept. The cinnamon rolls are terrific.

We stayed at a nearby hotel which offered a truly inedible breakfast - we threw it away three days in a row. We went a few steps up the street to Judy's. It's hard to give any place 5 stars for breakfast - after all, what are you ranking, eggs? No, in this case you're ranking a first-class bakery which... More
