Great local "joint" with excellent brew selection and good food!

We stopped by to check it and were very surprised at the selection of drinks inside plus the "clubby" atmosphere. Casey, our server, was quick to attend to us and was both friendly and attentive. The draft IPA was served up at the perfect temperature (not too cold!) and we ordered the Hunter's Pie... read more

I visited the Saddle Club in November with a friend. We tasted the locally brewed beers and had an appetizer which included a variety of small sandwiches. It was excellent, the beers were good and it was very enjoyable!

casual, cowboy, country, funky atmosphere. Plenty of drink and tap beer choices. Tantalizing appetizer/tapas menu.

My hubby and I went to this place partly because it was one of the few bars open in Alpine at 3:00 in the afternoon on New Year's Day and partly because they had some decent beers on tap. We walked in from the cold and the bartender immediately greeted us and engaged in discussion about the different beers on... More

I've been here before and was very pleased. This time I was disappointed with very slow service, over an hour wait to get food. beer on the menu being out and the wrong beer brought out once.

We arrived in alpine after a long drive starving. We have been on the road for a week now and could not fathom another McDonald's meal. the first place we tried was completely booked (on a Monday night!), so we came here for a few small plates. The good is the atmosphere, the service, the drinks selection, and the local... More

Waitress and bar staff really quite scary... Finding a long hair in my food was the last straw - no atmosphere

Who would've thought that this level of cuisine would be in the sleepy town of Alpine, Texas! We started with the epic fries - a delicious combo of perfectly crunchy fries smothered in brisket, bacon, queso and green chiles. For the entrees, we had the root vegetable salad, quail, prosciutto wrapped cod, and meatball soup. All were superb - on... More

We've eaten here a few times for lunch or for drinks with snacks and it always seems as though we meet someone friendly and talkative at the bar. It's a really nice place and the food is good.

This place is wonderful! We love a spicy bloody mary and the Caliente is delicious. We also ordered the Kobe meatballs soup which was delicious along with the root salad. Highly recommend this Alpine gem.
