Great lobster, smokey bar

I live in a city where you can't smoke in restaurants or bars that are inside restaurants. The bar here is part of the dining room and they allow smoking. It nearly killed the meal for me. My daughter's lobster was great. I got the shrimp scampi and the shrimp were a little rubbery. Good waiter... read more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The bread is great. The Lobster Diablo is awesome and big enough to share. Just start off with a bowl of lobster bisque and your in business. It is a great place to eat!.

Although we live just a few miles from this long-established restaurant, we had not visited until January 31, 2015. Too bad! We went to celebrate two family birthdays, and it was the perfect place. Everybody, from the 5th grader through high school to 70+ years, loved the entire experience. Every morsel of food was delicious, beginning with delicious bread. Our... More

From seafood to steaks to unbelievably delicious desserts this is the restaurant to detour to! Gus Pappageorge and his brothers are awesome owners. The ambience is wonderful. If you want something prepared more than what's on the menu or differently it will be done!!! Key Lime Pie one of the best ever!!!

We were looking for a new seafood restaurant and discovered Lefty's. The restaurant is warm and friendly. We felt right at home. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the food and was happy to answer our questions. I had the Lefty's salad with the basalmic vinagrette and couldn't help soaking up the remaining dressing with bread. For dinner I had the... More

I had the Blue Point Oysters and small lobster, and both were very good.......Service was quite good as well.......However, it is a tad on the noisy side. The friend I was with is originally from Massachusetts, and it was his first trip (not mine) and he thought the decor/menu was very authentic and said he'll definitely go back.

Well they try to create an "authentic" seafood place. It did remind of cute places on the Cape Cod and other Maine/New Hampshire seashore. But this was very ordinary. Way too loud that you had to scream to have a decent conversation with an office colleague. And I think someone was smoking inside the restaurant though I am not sure.... More

A good friend ate hear a couple of weeks ago and was impressed with the food and suggested we give it a try. I made reservations for Saturday night and was looking forward to a good meal, but that's not what we got. We started with the Caesar Salad and it was the best part of the meal. I had... More

This is my first review. Went here for dinner Sat night. Had reservations. Owner said table wasn't ready. Very evasive on how long a wait. After asking 4 times he finally said 15-20 minutes maybe more. Place was smoky (smoking lowed at bar which is not really separate from dining area. Extremely noisy. We left and had a nice quiet... We discovered Leftys 7 years ago and tell everyone how great it is. The best chowda in Dallas and whenever we have a craving for some east coast lobster it's the place to go. Until today....the lobster was raw. thank goodness I noticed it as soon as I cracked the claw...never again
