Crowded and slightly overpriced

Tokyo One is a pioneer in the DFW area for Japanese buffets however over the years quality has been lacking while prices have steadily rose. Portion sizes are smaller and customer service lacking at times - you get the feeling you are being rushed for the next set of customers to be seated-

Greeted cordially and seated quickly. Was quiet enough to talk (but not dead), had on-the-ball service, and the buffet food was fresh and flavorful. Buffet presentation was professional. The house hot sake was surprisingly good. Perfect for business lunch, but casual dress OK too. Overall, pretty much above my expectations. Not a huge variety in the sashimi, but all the... More

I paid sixteen dollars for a buffet lunch at Tokyo One and I was not impressed, at all. Although there was a fairly large variety of food, most of them were poor in quality. The Sashimi section was mediocre, the raw fishes such as salmon, tuna, tilapia were not very fresh. However, the sushi rolls were terrible. They were clumsily... More

Decor looks good. Food was not fresh when we got there. it tested like it had been sitting there for a while. When we asked to leave because we didn't like the food, the manager made a remark that she has 300 clients that don't complain. The manager told us we have pay for one of the meal even thought... Great selections - tempura, stir fried items, cold salads, sushi, soups, hot pots and fruit/desserts. Reasonably priced for buffet and good seating for small or larger groups.

Came here on a saturday for lunch and we went away with our stomachs full and wanting for more. Food was good, got the ramen noodle soup it was yummy. Got some steak, salmon, shrimp from hibachi grill it was fresh and delicious. We come here about once a month and they have been fairly consistent good quality of the... More

Normally I recommend people stay away from sushi at a buffet. At Tokyo One, however, the sushi is the big reason to come! It never stays on the buffet line long enough for the rice to dry out, and is always fresh. Good quality food all around, and worth every penny... especially if you go for lunch About $16 each.... For the past five (5) years, this is the other place I go once a week, since I am an absolutely Sushi and Japanese Cuisine Lover; and this is a top quality in all aspects: Freshness, Choices, Ambient, Attention, Price and Location. Here may not offer some IKURA (Salmon Roe) or UNI (Sea Urchin) but have some other stuff like... More

It used to have fresh sushi. My last visit was disappointing with off tasting fish. All the sushi seemed not as fresh, tasting a lot more fishy and sour. Since sushi is the main reason I go, I won't be returning. Everything remains the same, like desserts, hot foods, salads, etc.
