Just what I needed

I live overseas and was in Dallas for work and craving Tex Mex. The taco diner was just what I needed after a long flight. Quick service, excellent food and very reasonable prices. I really enjoyed my brisket tacos, mambo taxi (margarita w/a twist of sangria) and ceviche. The diner atmosphere was fun too. What a delicious meal. I'll go back.

When I was newer to Dallas years back this was a favorite start to Dallas Fast Mexican Diner experience. But as time went on and experiencing the ultimate Mexican culinary arts experience in and around DFW.. I learned there are competitors in the same space they occupy namely El Tizincito that does a better job in food quality, service, time... More

Touted as Mexico City style tacos, not quite there. Too Americanized for true Mexico City tacos. However, very tasty, not a hint of cumin which is supposed to taste mexican. The complementary salsa was delicious but had no bite. The guacamole was superb. Made just like we make it at home. Not "pureed" smooth, just enough chunkyness of the perfectly... More

I swear they must put crack in the green sauce that they bring out with the chips. All of the other salsas are amazing as well. I ordered the guacamole and ceviche and couldn't finish them because I was so addicted to that green sauce! Amazing! The service was great. The atmosphere was very friendly and the patrons were equally... More

I like it. Welcoming servers. Patient and nice. Our server was Domingo and he was great. Chips were a little thick and I miss the red salsa when I come here. Just green and black which are a good started but lack a bit of flavor. Fruit was sweet and mimosas so refreshing.

I had kind of written Taco Diner off but then after visiting the location in Frisco (& having great food & service) decided to try them again. However, this location on belt line just doesn't cut it, every time we've been here (lunch or dinner) the service is so terrible. I didn't want to give them a 'poor' rating because... More

Immediate cheerful hostess and waiter. Cold Mexican beer served in a square rimmed glass, perfect greaseless corn chips, served with a green sauce and a brown salsa that were very flavorful and unique. The Tacos de Bistec were prepared nicely and served simply and quickly. The tastes could not have been better. The patio seating was clean, comfortable and energetic.... More
