I came in from out if town to attend a wedding event for a dear friend. We ended the ceremony and about 20 of us (adult women) had some time to grab a bite to eat. We ordered Margaritas and our food. After being there for about 30 minutes we were approached by Liz (the owner) who said we needed... More

Expect a long wait after church, but other than that no complaints. Good food, good price, friendly folks!

We were recently in the northwest, no where near any good mexican restaurants. Our first night back we were craving mexican food, aka tex-mex. So we went to Casa Herrera. The numbers 13 & 26 are our go tos. The Margaritas and sweet tea were refreshing, hadn't had those on our trip either. Always good food and great service to... More

While in Abilene we were referred to this restaurant by a hotel clerk. They say you can tell the food is good by the number of cars in the parking lot. The parking lot only had 3 cars. It was 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday but I was a little leary about going in. Amazingly the restaurant was... More

Fantastic chili relleno! Great service. Low key atmosphere. Chips & salsa were delicious. Will visit again if back in Abilene.

We've eaten at Casa Herrera on Friday nights for decades, going back to their location in Burro Alley. I like to support businesses owned locally, and this one is easy to love since the owneing family and staff are so sincere and appreciative of their customers. My favorite in the Chili Rellenos with a custom request of green sauce. I... More

This restaurant has the best chips and hot sauce in town. It also has the best service in town. Any restaurant that can stay in business as long as this one has, must be doing something right! The chile rellenos are by far the best in this area. The margaritas are delicious! My only complaint is that their menu is... More

While the service has been decent the times we have been, the food has been either soggy, salty or poorly cooked. They have the basics in regards to tex mex dishes, but tamales, Los Arcos, or Taco Bueno would be a better choice.

Ok. So I go to a lot of mexican restaurants. I mean a lot. From Vegas to North Carolina to Texas to Ensenada in Baja Mexico. By far. This one has the best salsa. Its spicy, flavorful and delicious. So, I ordered the #8, two Tacos and two beef enchiladas. Less than the time it takes me to read the... More
