I go in frequently and have ordered lots of dishes. I've never been disappointed. Don't miss the black beans and rice. Also try the roasted pork, fried plantains, and grilled veggies.

My cousin took us to Angela's after church. Great food at great proces, and good size servings. I had the Chuleta, pork chop, black beans, and rice. All served hot and delicious. Some of the best black beans and rice I have ever had. We also sampled the Cuban coffee, which was excellent. Finally, the home made cheese cake is... More

Angela's is a great place to eat when you want something good & unique. Almost everything made from scratch so it can take some time but well worth wait. The roast pork & Cuban sandwich are fabulous! Also, save room for tres leche cake, yum!

The lunch menu was $8.99 to 13.99 and my grilled shrimp was very small portions for $12.99. My wive's chicken was good and my mother in law enjoyed our ground sirloin. Definitely not a do over for me but the rest of the crew enjoyed it.

Athens doesn't have many choices so this one will be a great one. Had good service and was very helpful with questions about the menu and serving size. It was a great meal.

Black beans and rice. That's it, that's all I've got to say -- you have to try the black beans and rice. I haven't had black beans and rice that good outside of Miami. We went on a quiet Saturday afternoon. The lighting is a little weird -- OK, it's a lot weird -- but the room is spacious and... More

Although slightly overpriced, Angela's is one of the better spots in Athens. Good burgers, Italian, and Cuban food. Friday nights has live music, which is nice. On the Athens scale, Angela's deserves five stars.

Simply put, you will not find a better restaurant in Athens, Tennessee. The food is very fresh and prepared by gifted hands. Great atmosphere each day but especially on certain nights where musical entertainment is provided. The town may be small but this restaurant does it big.

My wife had the Cuban sliders and had the beef in red sauce with rice and beans and both were outstanding. The break that came with it was excellent as well as was the cheesecake. The restaurant is nothing fancy and on an unseasonably hot day in July it was a little warm inside. It would not keep me from... More
